rebirth



for so long,
all I see is darkness.
no one truly realized how broken I am,
my sanity slipped through my fingers,
the hope I held on shattered,
is this what I have to live with?
despair?

as I began to descend into madness,
light of salvation came,
beckoning me to its warmth,
I began to wonder,
If I should accept the light.

at the end of the day,
I accepted the salvation,
I began to learn to take care of myself,
learn to cope with the darkness.

I had been reborn;
my rebirth had been fraught with despair and vain,
but it's all worth it,
for I can see the light again,
and no more darkness enshrouded my world.
