Premise:

In an effort to finally determine who is the "very best" trainer in the world, the first annual Pokemon World Series has been launched. Challengers represent their regional league, receive support from their sponsors, and compete in order to raise their individual rank. Face down other rival challengers in Exhibition Match, and climb the ranking. The world is watching, you've come this far- will you be the very best like no one ever was?

Pokemon Stars is intended to be mix of slice of life RP based around the being a celebrity trainer in the Pokemon World. Compete against another player to a contest battle on national television, or fill the stadium as you face your rival in a Dynamax battle, all the while navigating the adoration of fans, the weight of your Region's honor, and the demands of your sponsors!

The setting is focused in the major sites of the Pokémon World. Good thing your sponsors are paying your travel fees!



Systems

Actual battles are freeform, with the specifics determined by the writers involved. Wins and losses weigh less, as participation increased both Challenger's ranking (winners only receive a slightly higher base point reward for their exhibition matches, so winning isn't everything!). Characters can be created with Trainer Powers (mega evolution, Z-move users, type specialist etc.) that increase the points they earn when used in Exhibitions, and can earn more as they compete thanks to their sponsor's favor!

Only the best would be endorsed by their region to enter the World Series! Players can register six pokemon for use in their Series matches. In terms of balancing, rule-of-cool/super smash bros rule are factored in. Any 'normal' pokemon can be used effectively, so get ready for legendary fights between Eevee's and Dragonites.

No one can agree on what a Pokemon Master is, so expect Exhibition Matches to take the form of contests, battle frontier style matches, and regular pokemon battles. Many 'sidequest' competitions from the game will be available.

OOC- any designated "Exhibition match" can be created between two players, pitting their characters in chosen fighting style in one of the massive stadiums, similar to the challenging of Gym Leaders in Pokemon Sword/Shield.

Finally, determine your character's initial sponsor! You represent your region, but your sponsor determines your perks and resources available. Will the Aether Foundation support you with an Ultra Beast? Or will Macro Cosmos unlock a G-Max pokemon for you? Maybe the Indigo Plateau has pulled the strings to help you register another pokemon to your team?

there's no wild threads, breeding or farming systems for this site. majority of work is making choices on character builds and unlocking enough points to add anything you want in the future. this does mean less forced balancing or gate keeping, hence the move from 'win loss' and emphasis on freeform

Other things
Jcink, most likely. Game canons can be played! (just have to build their 'kits' to reflect as such). Set in an AU that is closer to the main series game canons.

I'm pretty excited about this idea, but it's still in its infancy. The goal is to have a chance to write out and play in the world of 'giants' in the Pokemon World. Always open to feedback and help- Anybody up for this?

Dog RP set in one of these locations:
Abandoned shopping mall(think like mall of america massive)
Long abandoned town(centralia maybe? Or chernobyl? Or maybe Hashima?)

IDK, I like the thought of dogs taking over some abandoned human thing, Centralia or Chernobyl is very tempting, but there's a lot of abandoned human things that might be fun to throw packs of dogs into...

Or warrior cats...Warrior cats set in an abandoned human thing could also be fun...

A pokemon story-based progression rp, but rather than taking place in a custom region, it takes place in ultraspace.

Ultraspace functions as like, a new frontier to explore for new trainers, and gyms being 'checkpoints' for explorers to check in.

But, would anyone be interested in an oc fruits basket rp? I mean, not just a fruits basket rp, though. At least not in the general sense?? Like the Sohmas still turn into the chinese zodiacs, but on top of that, there's also a family that the sohmas are rivaling against. The catch is, this family is cursed too... but they turn into normal-sized versions of mythical creatures when they embraced the same-sex -- and, unlike the juunishi, the godai have had their curse for ages. Of course, the Sohmas don't know that, and the two families just kind of co-exist in this small town. Both of them have prestige, are well-respected, hated or admired. Both of them are cursed, and neither one knows about the other's affliction.

And, of course, both of them have their respective onigiri/secret-keeper! So, mix that all in a melting pot filled with original roles like the psychic, the delinquent, and the the destroyer, and you get a recipe for drama, beauty, romance, shoujo, treachery, possible mutiny, slice-of-life, character development, and hell of a lot of angst.

anyone else wanting a character-driven canon-divergent atla site set in a world where ba sing se never fell, where the members have a "year" to either defeat the fire lord or die trying (and yes the fire lord can win or be assassinated by not-the-avatar), and both canons and ocs are playable (and yes oc airbenders / metalbenders + bloodbenders are playable and also yes canons can be aged up a lil bit if you want them to be)?

Who would be interested in an animanga/animated/illustrated panfandom taking place in a magical school type setting? It'd be at least loosely based off of Hogwarts but everything would be original content.
- Four "houses" ala Hogwarts, likely based off of the core aspect of the character's personality, but I'm still kind of deciding what I want the houses to be based on.
- It's gonna take place in a large and sleepy little college town backed by the school, it's gonna be modern based.
- Canon characters will be able to come from just about any sort of animated or illustrated medium, you'll have to adapt characters from non-modern settings into a modern one, you're also allowed to adapt them however you like since their canon is essentially whatever their life is on the site rather than their original canon.
---- IE: Rapunzel's backstory would have no connection to her actual canon, it'd be whatever story you give her on site. You CAN base their site canon on their actual canon, it's up to you!

I'm probably gonna do this regardless because I been wanting this idea, but I wanna see if anyone else is interested!
