108 EM is all about layers! intricate lore and nuanced dynamics that make the game as sandboxy and modular as possible. it's slow paced, as we want it to be manageable for people with busy lives, who get satisfaction out of writing and growing alongside a character-driven narrative.


as a result, overseers take the place of admins and moderators, and are the main and only support in keeping this game running. if you like exploring and expanding deep lore, and managing systems to bring out the best in yourself and your fellow writers, this role is for you!


i’m looking for [6] overseers who can:

— love deep lore that allows for a myriad of stories and scenarios to develop every season.


— are excited to work with homebrew mechanics and are comfortable with gdocs, spreadsheets and discord!


— can create clear, concise reference materials for players if needed, and can keep track of relationships, timelines, and worldbuilding details as a team.

O1. LOREKEEPING & CONTINUITY MANAGEMENT ; all overseers


- document world events, player actions, and key developments for continuity.


- keep track of relationships, timelines, and major conflicts.


- maintain easily accessible documents for players, such as lore databases, event summaries, and character directories.


- help with designing and running in-game events.


- ensure sandbox while maintaining narrative structure.


- help brainstorm prompts, subplots, or other elements to keep players immersed.


- monitor activity levels and adapt engagement strategies to suit the group’s needs.


- work as a team to enforce rules and keep the game’s tone and vibe consistent.


O2. PLAYER RELATIONS & RECRUITMENT ; [2] overseers


- primary contact for questions, clarifications, and feedback.


- provide help to players on lore, mechanics, and character integration if necessary.


- oversee recruitment during seasonal invite cycles.


- evaluate applications.


- coordinate with player relations overseers to create a welcoming, streamlined onboarding process.


O3. ENGAGEMENT & EVENT MANAGEMENT ; all overseers


- plan, monitor and execute events.


- introduce narrative hooks or challenges to keep the world dynamic.


- respond organically to player actions, allowing their choices to meaningfully impact the world.


- work with players to integrate their characters into the larger narrative.


O4. MODERATION & ORGANIZATION ; [2] overseers


- regularly archive or clean up old threads to keep things tidy.


- implement and maintain bots, dice rollers, or other tools to streamline gameplay.


- troubleshoot technical issues quickly to avoid disruptions.


- manage event schedules, ensuring they’re communicated clearly to all participants.


- post regular updates or announcements to keep everyone informed and engaged.


O5. AESTHETICS & RECRUITMENT MANAGEMENT ; [1] overseer


- aesthetics & presentation: - help design cohesive visuals for announcements, invites, and recruitment posts.


- help with formatting and presentation for worldbuilding materials, event auxiliaries, or player resources.
