Earth, March of 2017.
The world has over seven billion people in it.
That is, for lack of a better phrase, a lot of people.

It’s said that every person also has a guardian angel,
but the truth is some people don’t.
Actually, a lot of people don’t.

There’s only so many angels to go around,
and the thinner and thinner they get spread, well…
sometimes bad things happen.

Enter the demons.
Sure, they’re hellspawn, the fallen, the damned, but even if they hate Heaven…
well, no, there’s not really much good to say about demons, honestly.
Never mind.

But, drastic times call for drastic measures.

Sorry, kid. We’re out of guardian angels. A guardian demon will have to do.


CHARACTERS
You can have only one character due to our small group size. They can be any age, gender, or orientation you want. They just need a reason to need a guardian if they are human. Angels just get assigned people; Demons do as well, but that doesn't mean they like their new job.

HUMANS
There's nothing too spectacular about humans, except that their souls once weighed heavily in the fight between Heaven and Hell. That, and their capacity for achieving great things as mortals, whether good or evil, due to their free will. Only humans that have been graced by an angel - er, demon - do demons grace? No, they damn, but guardian demons... augh, whatever! Only humans that have a guardian can perceive other guardians.

DEMONS & ANGELS
They can be any size or shape. They are only visible or heard by other non-humans and humans who have a guardian angel or demon. In order for a DEMON to be visible to all humans and interact with them, they must have a body. Alive is preferable, fresh is good enough. Oh, and human. A human body is important. We don't want a repeat of the Squirrel Incident of '98. Unfortunately, a corporeal body limits your power by about 80%, but that's just part of the job. Angels have no need to possess human bodies, they just choose their human form, and poof, able to appear to mortals.

GUARDIANS, BE PROFESSIONAL!
Our job is to protect humans. I understand that angels and demons may have some.... residual bitterness toward each other, but that's no excuse to ignore your charge! Your human comes first. Fighting can come AFTER you clock out.

CHARACTER SLOTS
There are slots for three of each, humans, demons and angels.

There is one boss angel that supervises the demons and makes sure they do their job. They have the power to send the demons back to heaven (which happens to be a demons hell). The other two angels could serve as the boss' assistants, making sure the demons are taught the way of being a proper guardian, or weave your own story as to why they are here.

Guardian assignments are at the mercy of my whims, unless you pick out a partner and you both request to be assigned to each other. Being assigned to another character doesn't mean your character can only ever talk to them - it just means that for Plot Reasons, your characters are associated together. OOC discussion is encouraged to get to know and pick out a partner you'll be happy with. ;3

This story is actually a short I've been working on to make into a comic (2013. forever ago. have some old art and laugh) I thought it would be fun to rp in the universe and see how others would view and play the characters.

Wishes and shooting stars (or WAS for short) is a post by post roleplay with a coming of age plot that revolves around characters that, even though are otherworldly, have issues just like we do. They must make decisions that not only affect themselves, but others as well.


IN A SOLAR SYSTEM FAR, FAR AWAY
There is a system with two planets, Ciel and Kharon, that had been at war for years. The late appointed king of Ciel brought forth a time of peace between the two planets. Sadly, the death of the king, who had no son or daughter to name as heir, brought chaos to the courts. Before his death, he had decreed that his young sister should take over the throne, but law dictated she must marry to assume the role as queen. Kharon's king and queen saw this as the perfect opportunity to cement the peace between the two planets and marry off their son, the prince. However, the prince had other plans, and he escaped the planet in hopes of finding adventure in the neighboring systems.

THE SHOOTING STAR
On Earth, a young girl stresses over the changes she has gone through in the last few weeks, in her new home, the remote town of Lagdun. As she stares out into the night sky she catches sight of a shooting star. While making a wish she noticed the star growing brighter and brighter, coming closer and closer. With luck, she managed to survive the flaming fireball that crash-landed in her room and was now charged with taking care of a prince from another planet. Talk about crazy nights. Too bad the next day was the first day in her new high school.

NEW PLACES, NEW FACES
It all begins on the first day of Lagdun High-school's new term. The aliens are disguised as humans, and the humans do their best to fit in. All of them do what they can to survive in their new environment. Welcome to Lagdun.





THE MAGICAL GIRL » name ⇣ played by
a human girl whose whole world had turned upside down when an alien, quite literally, fell on her from the sky when she was stargazing. She was stressed with how much things had changed for her since she had moved and started in a new high school. She longed for the days of her youth and wished she didn't need to grow up. Having confused the prince for a shooting star she wished for magic. The prince obliged and gave her the ability to transform into a magical girl. This was all done for his personal gain, of course, he did it for the sole purpose of obligating her into a contract to protect him from anyone who dared return him home.

THE RUNAWAY ALIEN PRINCE » name ⇣ played by
an alien who is frustrated with the duties of being a prince, and longs for a life of adventure and exploration. This clashes with the fact that, according to the law, he must marry before his next birthday, which results in a problem because he refuses to accept the responsibilities of becoming a ruler and would much rather explore the systems.

THE LOYAL GUARD » name ⇣ played by
an alien appointed to protect the prince and make sure he returns home safe and sound. The guard needs to decide if the prince's happiness or obligations should be placed first. Should he force the prince back to his home planet, or let him grow and realize his responsibilities on his own? Regardless of his choice, the guard's top priority is the prince's safety.

THE CONCERNED ALIEN PRINCESS » name ⇣ played by
an alien princess that must marry to become the appointed queen of her home planet. Her planet had suffered a great deal since her older brother's death. Since then it has been under the rule of the advisor until she marries. She was obligated to leave her home in hopes of escaping dangerous whispers of assassination flying around the court. She decided to search for her fiancé in hopes to settle the mess on her planet once and for all.

THE LOVE FOOL » name ⇣ played by
Human or alien, and who this character is interested in is all up to you. Don't let the name fool you [haha see what I did there? *bricked*], this character's personality could be anything but. Bad girl, loner, someone who hates romance, it's all fair game. The twist is that this character falls for another, and it could be bad news for either, if not both.

THE MISCHIEVOUS ROGUE » name ⇣ played by
A mysterious character with ulterior motives and ambiguous goals. It is unknown for who he is actually working for as his alliances seem to flutter back and forth. Does he wish to prevent the prince or princess from returning home to help someone else usurp the throne? Or is he really just protecting them? Only time will tell.





This is all taking place in a single term right before prom. The dates will serve as a countdown to the last day, which is when things will probably take a turn for the worse for our characters. Until then, have fun befriending, investigating and deceiving everyone to get what you want. Time skips will happen, so there will be days that will just be marked with nothing major happening.
