Admittedly, I think a big part of this - at least for me - is that I don't speak the language, so I don't notice awkward blips or tonal errors and whatnot that would be make-or-break-its for me in an English dub. Like, unless a dub is really, honestly, noticeably bad, pretty much any dub in another language sounds 'better' than English for me; Cheddar and I took to watching Netflix anime in German or Spanish just to change things up, and thought they sounded fantastic.

I definitely think that there are some Japanese dubs that go above and beyond, but I think they sound better as a whole just because we know what sounds weird in English and notice it a lot more when it happens as opposed to a language we don't speak. It makes me wonder if Japanese voice actors sound as strange and campy to the Japanese population as English dubs do here - although, admittedly, probably not to the same degree, since I'm pretty sure the voice actor pool over there is bigger. *strokes chin*

i'm not done with my golden deer run yet so once i reclass him more often to boost his stats it could turn things around but ignatz is the one the rng screwed on my file, i think. leonie is doubling and getting kills left and right.

as for peg knights/falcon knights i had a lot of success with petra as one. granted i fed her some strength boosting stat items but she is speedy AND has a high likelihood of critting, so she was an offensive monster for me. i think given how good wyvern riders/wyvern lords are in 3H there's little reason to class someone into a peg knight/falcon knight unless you are also going for that high avo/magic resistance. here's petra doing some insane damage as a falcon knight. but head i heard it's not uncommon for ingrid to get bonked real hard with the crappy stats stick.

granted 3H does not have dark fliers which is what made the pegasus class so busted in awakening, and it's probably for good reason because could you imagine dark flier lysithea. she would be absolutely game breaking. (i wish the pegasi classes weren't gender locked though. hubert has a counselor minigame note where he says he wishes to fly on a pegasus but is afraid of heights. get on the horse, severus snape.)

INGRID. i forgot about ingrid. i think from what i know i'm not going to like her either unfortunatelyyyy but i will withhold judgement until i've played the route proper.

as a kingdom hearts fan who is constantly dealing with garbage where time flows differently between realms i totally thought that was when the timeskip would happen too. that whole thing actually makes even less sense on crimson flowers because at least in the other routes byleth is yeeted into some sort of deep crevasse never to be seen again, but in the BE-CF route we don't see that happen and it's not even clear... what occurs? edelgard (and i think hubert if memory serves properly) tell byleth to get out of the way and then it cuts to black. like i was so confused... because from the sound cues it sounds like byleth is trapped under rubble? but then everyones like WOW WE LOOKED EVERYWHERE ESPECIALLY EDELGARD SHES VERY GAY, PROFESSOR and moving some rocks shouldn't be too hard yall. and then byleth wakes up in a river so that's even more "how'd she get there"

idk. it's weird but it's especially weird there and i know it's probably because on most routes twsitd is involved in byleth being gone and they're your allies on BE but like. just have rhea-dragon cause byleth to go blasting off again. problem solved. anyway rant over.

i think it's my favorite fe as well... fe7, awakening, and echoes still hold near and dear places to my heart tho.

also yes i guarantee the sauna is for that beach dlc because they always gotta have it! (and it's gotta be at a sauna and not a beach otherwise edelgard would never go she's too scared of the ocean)

And uh... I ONLY recuited Felix from blue lions for my crimson flowers run and uh... had him kill like 5 of the BL people and uhhhhhhhhhhh.

It was pain. I cried for like 30 minutes, over just Felix killing Sylvain.

see i did the opposite. i had sylvain kill felix. i had him kill ingrid too. i did this with several other characters that i recruited too. had marianne and lysithea take out their old pals.

i know, i know. i'm a monster. but i want to see the special dialogue.
