walking and moving about gets my creative juices flowing like nuts. i could have the most awesome fight scene or heartbreaking confession written out in my head but as soon as i sit down?

i had a few prose/poetry pieces published a few years ago and i haven't written any in a looooong time because of very similar reasons. a good way to look at poetry is that yeah, most "" normal "" people don't find much interest in poetry but that's ok because you're not writing poetry for them, you're writing poetry a) for yourself and b) for other poets to appreciate. it does take a certain person to care about poetry. usually the kind of person that writes it too lmao

what i've learned about art is that some people won't care about what you're doing or won't understand, and it's no good focusing on those people to determine your art. most artists, especially poets, get shit for their art. if you want to write poetry there is never a wrong time to start. i'd always encourage you to do something you love.

every time i get to project zero dawn with those expositional cutscenes idk but i always just start crying. idk if its the music, or what. i'm like a leaky tap istg. i'm also right there with you in the skyrim train. after 2000 hours i still could be wandering the middle of nowhere in the pale, with just the right music and BOOM, crying. and whenever i'm wandering the vale because crushed civilisationsmake me really sad for some reason???

i cried playing dragon age inquistion just cause of the end of trespasser. of course i had to play an elf who romanced solas haha what a bad decision that was. i got egged.

never let me go by kazuo ishiguro was the first book that ever made me cry. now i just tend to pick up books that always make me cry by the end? like interpreter of maladies, the sellout (from laughter that time), all the birds singing. i just got batted on to the pain train of literature.
