it's funny hearing about staffing with people you know well when half the advice i've always heard is to never hire your friends as staff haha

(personally i think it's just anecdotal. i've staffed with my friends and it was great. i've staffed with my friends and it wasn't that great.)

i really like the ending wasn't actually a surprised. it's been repeatedly said that it won't be them going but a copy of them. but the realization of it doesn't come until it's there. the denial, the height of emotion, the contrast between what happened on the ones left behind vs the one that got copied... it was the last interactions that really stuck to me. i don't really care much about how bleak it was. just that scene for me was worth it (and well the adventure through the terrors was also legit terrifying)

My advice based on my exp as a member

1. Get the stories sorted out before coming down to a decision
2. In staff pm’s, still speak kindly. You never know what someone is going through. If you, a staff, want to be treated the same way by your members as such, live by it.
3. Don’t make assumptions about your members and listen to their perspective. If you jump ahead, you’re the one creating drama for no reason.

See. I’ll make the list and then never actually use it again. Never cross anything off. The pitfalls of adhd. But it is helpful when I do actually remember, and it feels good to cross items off the list! I just….never remember to do so💀

also imagine being able to just focus on one project at a time and just dedicate all your creative time and energy to that one skin. I desperately wish that was me. I’m currently jumping back and forth between four skins and barely making progress on any of them. 

i also usually forget the list but when i am off the computer i check my mobile app and basically just write what i did accomplish and strike that off. Being offline and sometimes just having my phone and paper helps me reorganize my thoughts before i head back to the computer to work again and do the task. Not just for coding stuff, but for writing too.
