i wish i was left handed

i can't tell you how many times i've wished the opposite lol XD

being left-handed means being stuck on the inside booth (always bumping elbows if you aren't), not being able to open anything with a hand-crank can opener, having the biggest struggle with most pairs of scissors that are conveniently around (my work thankfully ordered me a specific pair of left-handed scissors), and struggling in college to try and find the ONE left-hand desk that's available. not to mention that apparently according to some studies, left-handers have a higher chance of dying sooner than right handers (no doubt because we are trying to use tools built in a right-hander world *le sigh*)

on the brightside: people always think it's cool when they DO find a left-hander! c:

uhhhhhhh i think scratchpad just kicked the bucket for real this time

edit: does anyone know of any good alternatives to scratchpad that aren't codepen? i love codepen but don't like storing my codes on there because i get people who nab them from me since my dashboard is public and can be seen by anyone and some of my codes i want to keep private.

honestly i don't know of any others aside from scratchpad and codepen but maybe you could create a private jcink site that only you know about and store your codes there? i know it's more inconvienant cause of the save/refresh, but that's the only other option i could think of ;3; I know some people have done that before.

Thank you for the input so far everyone c:
The skin I'm using thankfully doesn't have forum images for ooc forums -- only the rp boards so that makes finding those images much easier (cause i feel the same - finding images for EVERY forum is EXHAUSTING). It also has descriptions so I think the two together will be :chefkiss: c:

I'll definitely check out zerochan. I kind of forget it exists cause usually my go-to is trying to find specific images through google or pinterest.

Since we are animanga faces, I'll definitely try to stick to that genre. Thank you again folks <3

I have a question for folks out here!

When it comes to forum images used to help with descriptors for specific places on an rp's forum (such as for a school, cafe, bar -- other specific rp locations that pertain to the site)

Do you prefer those images to match the faces being used? If a site uses animated faces for example, do you prefer the locations to match and be animated/drawn style as well? Or do you not care as long as you have something to reference? Or maybe you just don't care at all? Maybe you prefer a mixture of both animated and 'real life' images?

Looking for some insight on this from anyone with opinions on it!

(Also if you do prefer animated only locations - where the heck do you find your forum images? Cause DANG I'm struggling to find some LOL)

(Personally I prefer mandatory post templates because I'm a hoe for aesthetics. I like when the templates match the skin. I can't really explain why - but it's just something I like.)

Now as far as my personal sites that I've run/staffed on: 9/10 times I ask that members use the options we have available in our "code vault". In addition, I do allow members to code their own templates as long as they don't break on-site and aren't illegible (like blinding colors or tiny ass font). I also ask members to reach out to me if they want a code that isn't available on site and I usually utilize a few different version of the BBC options for members.

My biggest reasons why I tend to not let people use post templates from other sources is as follows:

- The templates break on site and end up extending past the width of the forum, but they don't fix it??? They end up just leaving it broken and use it like normal and THAT JUST DRIVES ME CRAZYYYYY. I don't understand how can you leave it broken.

- The usual not changing the font colors/sizes to be legible on the current skin.

- But honestly the biggest reason for me is theft. I've ran into a couple issues where people were removing credits from templates other people have made. Some people would claim they coded it, even though you could tell they had no clue about coding. Other times they never outright claimed the templates as their own, but would ebb away when people tried to compliment them or ask for help etc.

Coders work hard!!! Leave their credit alone!!!

And because I don't want to fight with members on ensuring credit stays and so on, I usually do what I listed first! Lately I've been more lenient with allowing people to use off-site templates, code their own, OR use the templates available. But I've got my eyes WATCHING cause imma fight if someone steals something :SQUINT:

stressed af with all this craziness going on. they closed restaurants and bars in IL and both of my roommates (one of them being my boyfriend) are servers and bartenders, so I'm currently the only one making any income in the house. They're going to try and apply for unemployment...

Hopefully they choose to keep banks open cause I don't know what I'll do if I'm also the one not able to work.

I'm a people pleaser. A baby, if you will. A majority of my friends know this.

So whenever I hear from members that "people are unhappy" or "people don't like staff" or that "people don't like the site" - it literally kills me. My staff team and I have worked so hard on this project, that hearing people are unhappy or dislike myself and the other staff members - I hate it so much and just want to fix it desperately.

What's more is - as a staff member - sometimes we have to make decisions that involve removing toxic people from our site. But instead of asking staff about the situation: rumors get spread and people talk, when really, we were just trying to make our site a safe and comfortable space for everyone. I get it's "normal" for people to gossip like that, but also my door is always open for members to reach out to me.

I'm always willing to lend an ear to listen to concerns (as long as the 'complaints' are warranted, and people aren't just using me to scream about stuff they hate), and I've always tried to express this when I'm able, or it comes up. But instead, I have to hear about people being upset from other people. It's so hard for me to tell what's true or just speculation or what and it spikes my anxiety way up.

Man sometimes this rp stuff is exhausting. :c
