what is bury me low?bury me low is a post-apocalyptic roleplay set in a futuristic dystopia and take inspiration from the franchises: cyberpunk 2077, the last of us, and infamous.
what is the general premise?here's a quick rundown on what bury me low:
- set in the distance future of 2110 where technology's advancement has taken over the human mind, where corporations were then the new government, the greed of megacorporations eventually tarnished the federation they've build and led to a nuclear war amongst themselves that have claimed the lives of millions... or have given them a second chance in life. the waste from these weapons granted humans special abilities that are either seen as a blessing or curse.
- those with abilities were no longer classified as humans, but based on powers that were shared throughout the superpowered. certain classifications are seen as useful weapons; others are destined for extermination.
- the waste from the weapons have not just created an entirety of special powered beings, but have mutated deceased victims of the war into vicious and hellish creatures that feed off of negative emotion and fresh flesh.
- as all hope is practically lost, people must decide their fate in a world where all formal order and law has fallen.
what's the setting?bury me low will be taken place in a fictional city located in a fictional city called
airstone located in england. since the rise of technology and the expansion of corporate power over the world, airstone has become one of the most technological advanced cities in the world that was riddled in crime and political corruption, heavily controlled by corporations. (think night city from cyberpunk 2077). airstone is divided into districts that is now territory of certain groups as a means to survive.
even though the world has burned into madness, airstone is still somewhat strong. there's no denying that there's some areas that are in complete demise (and one can argue it was
before the war/apocalypse), due to the advanced technology there are still some districts standing decently strong whereas others are crawling with undead creatures.
you mentioned classifications/powers from the waste due to the war. what are they?these are the common powers/classifications that people can be should they be affected by the war:
- the gifted: those who carry elemental powers (water, fire, air, earth, plant life, ice, and lightning)
- the elite: those who carry superhuman physical conditions.
- the gentry: those who carry mental abilities such as telekinesis or mind reading.
- the cybernetics: those who are legally classified as cyborgs or full blown robots.
- the barbaric: albeit an offensive name, the barbaric are mutants who have human appearance with physical abnormalities. let it be elf ears, animal traits, whatever, they don't look normal. they are the only classification to be hunted down, discriminated, and even used as weapons by certain factions for two reasons:
1) all barbarics have a mental disorder that throws them into a short, long, or permanent episodes of lunacy that disconnects then from reality. at that moment, they turn aggressive or even violent to the point where they'd attack anything around them. they're deemed as a threat and mentally unstable.
2) barbarics are considered stronger versions of the elite as they also have enhanced physical conditions, except they're more at a supernatural level.
what are these "undead creatures" mentioned before? aren't they zombies?well yes and no. zombies will be involved, but they won't be the only undead creatures birthed from the results of a nuclear war. let's just say
this would be a common creature to encounter besides a zombie.
what else can be expected from this?- this will be on jcink (more familiar with the admin cp)
- because of the themes the site has, the site will have have premium
- due to the skin chosen, we'll have profile applications
- we will have canons, though they won't be the focal point of the site
- animated face claims only
- characters will have inventories of their items and powers (depending on classification)
