Genuinely in love with my current site now. I have a whole lot of free time at work which means way too much time for writing, but I've genuinely not had so much passion for actually writing and developing my characters in a hot minute and I think the community we have is a key reason for that <3

Not sure if this is one that's been beaten over the head a million times, but I do have a tendency to try and thread with at least everyone as a staffer, even if I end up not enjoying it. It just feels right to if I have the ability to be able to.

PLOT UPDATE: TITAN PRESENCE IN PALDEA PUBLICISED.

With the number of Titans bonding and events that have occurred across Paldea, it would be foolish to assume that the general public haven't started to notice and report their sightings to the appropriate authorities.

The Pokemon Ranger Headquarters (Paldea Branch) have released a report summarising their findings and cases of interest that have been reported by civilians, or information that they have gathered from other regional branches.

While some names have been made public in relation to their Titans, most of those who have bonded are unknown and are encouraged to step up and admit their presence to the League and the Ranger Headquarters in the name of public safety. While the Headquarters have put out a recommendation that known Titan-bonds be restricted from entering official tournaments in the interest of public safety and fair battle etiquette, the Pokemon League is yet to put out a statement of its own.

People are talking. They've seen sightings, they've heard about how Glaseado Mountain was all but untravelable some time ago, they've felt the effects of miniature earthquakes and tsunamis crashing into the shores. There's a demand for answers; a demand to know who the Titans have chosen, why the Titans have stayed.

How Paldea will change is yet to be seen.

kasumi's eyes flicker to charizard. she doesn't often take flights on top battler's pokemon by their invitation. if she could count the number of pokedollars she'd get for it, there'd be two. which isn't much, but it sure is strange that it's happened twice.



i'm still giggling at it and it's not even that good

kind of a fave paragraph from something recent:

If you're talking about the guidebook being made through Jcink pages - you have to style the redirect row HTML template to link directly to the guidebook, since webpages are separate from forums.

(I assume you've done it already, but you can make pages through the Webpage Maker in the admin cp!)

If you mean proboards... i have no idea i'm sorry :(

i genuinely haven't a clue how to classify what i've been thinking except "sandbox" but i have what is something like 75% of a skin done and i've been toying with the idea for a while. so mostly, i was looking to bounce ideas off of people re a structure for a site that would involve a world that is as huge as runeterra is. 

currently, i was mostly thinking along the lines of:


  • include the "major" regions, such as ionia, demacia/noxus, piltover/zaun, shurima, targon, frejlord, ixtal, shadow isles. others can be in another board.
  • adding onto this, each region has a "plot" or a "goal" that it's heading towards, or a specific arc, so that people have motivations for their characters. they probably wouldn't divulge much from the canon and would potentially clash timeline-wise because of how riot's lore currently lines up with each other (and i need to catch up myself on a lot of points) but it's good to have something to build around.
  • league characters would be available to play (and as such would not be available for use as face claims) but would not be a focal point of the site, because the focus is more utilising the world and its lore rather than league of legends itself.

other options are:
  • set the site in demacia/noxus and focus on their conflicts, mostly because i quite like the dynamics that noxus especially offers on multiple levels and i also honestly wanted to step away from a piltover/zaun focal point.
  • that's kind of it tbh i've not thought that far.

i mostly just wanted a "setting" for fantasy that offers all sorts. you can have knights. you can have samurai. you can have steampunk tech people. you can have yordles and vastaya. but genuinely looking to see what people's thoughts are on these things and what you'd want to see in a world that spans as hugely as runeterra actually does. 

can also chat to me on discord if you'd like! just dm me if you don't have my discord already. it wouldn't be for a while because i'm currently in a bit of a rut with skinning & also making templates and such, but clearer ideas would definitely help writeups and a general perusal into interest so i know if i should try and pursue this as something to use or something to just play with for a while in the future! <3

rp-wise, it wouldn't be heavy. not expecting everyone to dedicate their entire lives to it and never touch grass. it would be There for people to play with whenever they wanted.

as i've said about every interest check related to this, i'm largely only interested if canons are in play and if people want to play with those specific canons that I'm interested in. i will play with OCs, and might even put up connected want ads to fill roles with OCs, but I am not interested in a runeterra RP with a bunch of disconnected OCs, and I'm definitely not interested if it's OC-only or no one wants to play canons. If it's OC-only I'll just continue to wait for the MMO for RP.

mm yeah. I honestly hadn't thought that far ahead and was just spitballing since I'm messing around with codes relating to it, but canons would also be playable for those who want to play them. it's generally just hard to balance runeterra in general because of how large it is LMFAO

probably could have been in quick interest checks since i'm already messing around coding potential things relating to it, but a semi-sandbox-ish runeterra rp (yeah im still on my old bs) where you... basically... just have the main regions in noxus/demacia/ionia/shurima/targon(? idk what's going on at targon recently ngl)/piltover/zaun etc (smaller regions can just have its own big forum or smt) and you just.... play there. maybe each region has a main event or three that's occurring to give your characters a goal/target.

even when the purpose of being a member of the family that he is is the center of his universe, where his sun is his brother and sisters and his own orbit is nearly irrelevant, jinhai is still a creature of his own whims. for the most part - when it's the smaller things that allow him to be comfortable in the world that they are in. he is a creature that is dappled in the moon that so sweetly grants them light and so viciously controls the tides, and in some ways, he has always been one with the stars that makes little sense to others. one with them insofar that he much prefers the soft shadows that come with the night than the all-revealing light that comes with the sun.
