I understand that some people want to chit chat when they feel sick and I do my best to talk because it helps them - but almighty kittens I just want silence when I feel bad and people think I'm just some social butterfly when I want to carve my own skin off is mind frying.

All I want is my cat and some nausea and/or pain medication and sleep. All I need. I do not need your tangent about women's magazines in the 90's or a video game because if I had the strength I would commit a violence. Thank you for keeping me company, but please just let me watch the 114th rerun of this SVU episode in peace.

The kittens we rescued worried me cause one was having stomach issues and another one seemed so terrified of literally everything, but just tonight they were playing and causing havoc. One is majorly angry at the door stopper, another one has commandeered a pair of pants, one screams while he eats, and the other one constantly plays mario kart on the stage rainbow road with how much they bump into their siblings while running around.

We have an appointment with a place on Tuesday to see if they can get into a no-kill rescue since we'll be fostering them until they're ready. They're very tiny for their age but they seem to be eating healthy (besides one having a clicking jaw cause of a odd bite).

Stg I exist and some cat would literally just pop into existence next to me.

Case in point I have four kittens who were screaming at me and I don't have a f'n clue where they came from but they're old enough to eat wet food and have some kmr so they're getting the crate treatment so I can get them spayed and neutered. I pet three out of the four, which is a good thing. God bless those who aren't used to it and act like it's magic to pet a hungry tiny kitten cause I'm just there in the mud for the 5000th time and just like, "ah yes, small thing. Come."

Honestly do wish more people took the time to help tiny babies like this cause seeing unfamiliar people and children light up in holding something so small and vulnerable just changes a bit of their world view into something not as terrible for a few seconds.

Also I do wish I could figure out how to run something profitable to just run a mass spay/neuter thing. I feel like I'm the southern crazy woman equivalent to bob barker.

As someone who's done multiple original rps, this is the most told reason that people don't join. I'm someone who will drown everyone in lore, have a ridiculous timeline, etc, etc.

This is /not/ for everyone.

Over time I've really reined it back the best I could and even my current project has gone through multiple iterations to make the lore as compact as possible. Another thing I've really noticed is a lot of people spread out multiple very important bits of information through like 9 threads/pages. Sometimes make a chonkier paragraph is the better solution because you really didn't need to put important xyz into a thread where no one's going to click even if there's some important bits.

Really in my experience, someone is happier to read a chonkier thread/paragraph than going through 10 pages of lore - because at least 7 threads/pages aren't really needed or used for their character.

Fandom sites are usually through a game/visual/story that's basically newgame+ so there's already knowledge coming into the game. People are going to always be attracted to what is more comfortable for them. While you don't need to be overly obsessed in making everything as small as possible nor you don't need to be concerned when your base obviously already has enjoyed what you've put out - but I think it is important that you're measuring your game with people's interest, NOT just yours. If you only cared about what you wanted to do, write a book or a fanfic!

I really wish people would use more readable font. I have to constantly enable a plugin just to turn your gibberish into open sans or something. Handwritten fonts are *beautiful* - but when they're meant for 20px or above, they do not translate to 10-12px a good 80% of the time. Several sites have interested me lately but I can't read jack.

no lie, friend had a hot mic moment saying this and almost got fired and it's still the funniest thing to have ever happen in a meeting.

idk what I'm doing but I've written 87k plus of something in a year and I cannot fathom that being a number of something I did.
