As someone who has 5+ cats and has to do this every month, with multiple pills. Yes.

I call it "SWAT day" - it's a tactical ambush.
my dog is the same way : (. SHES A DOG SHES NOT SUPPOSED 2 B THIS UNCOOPERATIVE but sometimes i think shes part cat tbh. SHE EVEN DOES THE WHOLE BEG FOR ATTENTION BUT AS SOON AS I GIVE HER IT SHE LEAVES ACT. shes a tricky dog so u rlly gotta make sure she actually swallows her pills b/c she'll spit it out as soon as u turn ur back q_q. i bribe her with whip cream nowadays

lol, my smaller foster-failure Ruger (she's my bab) is like a dog. Following me everywhere, sits on my shoulder why I clean (which is a problem cause I have no shoulders). It's like I have a dog. I've even danced salsa with her and she just licked my face. Colt her sister is more "cat-like" but she still has to be laying on top of you. It's weird.

I tend to be the one everyone calls to give their cats medicine and trim their nails - even cat baths. Even my vet trusts me to give subcutaneous IV bags to cats (It makes them look like the hulk and it's painfully hilarious). I /hate/ it. Cats have such tiny mouths and it's like trying to get into a darn viper's trap to get them to swallow but not choke on it and aklasdhf. One cat literally cheeked a pill in front of me and spat it out in my face when I was moving her and I was so /offended/.

There's something going around a fandom I'm in - as they just realized apps can gather their data from a front-facing website. Now explaining how this works and how this isn't illegal - it's like talking to a brick wall. Someone literally wrote me paragraphs about how this is unfair and my response at that point was -

"Ma'am, this is a wendys."

Last thing I concretely remember about the series were the tunnels and Hollyleaf. That's it. But I heard some wild stuff happens later on. It's been so long...
I’ll keep you updated.. all this nostalgia made me buy one of the later books I haven’t read after taking a million year break lol

If people want to read it might have some uh...files they can read it online. It's a huge g-doc with all the books. I think it goes up to "A vision of shadow" and it has all the field guides and super editions.

I like - straight up started a war with my pharmacy and my doctor's office cause they lost a script. It's not even my script, it's my mom's? Just like, issue a new script. Stop making me call three times a day to make sure y'all know how to do your jobs.

TL;DR if anyone wants to tell me some wild drama stories I am living for it because being the adult in the room sucks and I love drama but can't be part of it anymore. It's half the reason I'm so active here. Someone goes into a long rant and I'm just sitting there like:

I'm sorry - are you me?

On another topic - yes, I agree that smaller staff teams are much better. It's just super tiring now. I get too tired of not being able to fix the things without 9 different hands in the pot. I agree with this wholeheartedly. I was in several forums as a coding admin that had to take on a lot of responsibility and I'm just...not for that life anymore. If I have a 'team' it's of close friends who I know won't stare at me like I grew another head when I need to fix lore. Or people who are close enough to me to literally tell me it's just a bad take.

A few people I know asked me to mod discord servers and they have like- one of them has 15 members on staff. I just - I saw that and yeeted myself out of there.

My cat was trying to eat my sandwich as I was assembling it, so when he sniffed at the remnants of the mayonnaise left on the knife as I was putting it away, I figured I'd let him get a taste so he'd wise up and learn that my sandwich was not at all up his alley -

Except the hecker LIKED it, so now I have converted him to MAYO, what monster have I created with my own two hands??????

Cats do this. One of my cats loves mayo. Another likes applesauce, another likes apple juice, one of them likes sugar cookies - just go with it.
