jujutsu kaisen is a horror shounen by gege akutami that im really enthralled by and it gives me major bleach, hunter x hunter and kekkaishi vibes, and boy do i want a site. so ive endeavored to make one, and with the goal of actually finishing it, ive decided to not take on the task of doing everything by myself and reach out for help.

im looking for creative help mostly, people to brainstorm with, proofread and write out information, and some aesthetics wouldn't hurt either.

some things that are important to know about this, the site is named sorcery fight and is on jcink and will not be a mature board (that's unnecessary imo). set in modern day japan, shamans will be the only playable race (maybe later expand to curses) and will have two central settings of Tokyo and Kyoto. and here's the premise:

CURSES! Vengeful spirits, evil and malicious apparitions exist and they torment a world that is largely oblivious to them. Why shouldnโ€™t they? Their existence is linked to humans, and those capable of opposing them are known as sorcerers. People capable of perceiving curses and utilizing a spiritual energy known as curse power. Around the world shamans are known by many names - witches, exorcists, mystics and spiritualists. Our story resides in Japan, where at the Technical Magic Schools of Kyoto and Tokyo, shamans study curses to exorcise curses.


closing thoughts: is it necessary to know jujutsu kaisen? no, but of course you should check out the manga because it's great and gonna be top three (unless it flops :( ) if yr interested feel free to reply here or pm me, and like the post so i can get that sweet upvote gratification. oh and here's my disc: it's a sorcerer#7854

^ I can definitely see this, but I also think it depends on the site and the community. KD is pretty dependent on want-ads (based on our theme) so for us it doesn't have to do with friend circles (we're also so small that I think pretty much everyone is friends with each other on KD); fortunately, our want-ads get regularly taken up by new members or seasoned members alike though some hang out on the backburner for a little while.

That being said, when I was perusing other sites I definitely noticed a different "culture" in regards to plotting, want-ads, and threading all together. It was pretty hard to get plots, some people would act like it was a chore or couldn't be bothered to pitch their own ideas and want-ads was like pulling teeth (I'm one of those people without a group of friends for every site I go to). I can't say/agree if it's becoming more common, but I definitely saw what you mentioned at the other sites I tried out. So, your theory might have some basis to it especially when compared to like... ten years ago. I don't think it was that much different three years ago.

i think a big thing about wanted ads is that you aren't really making a character so much as making someone else's character. so there's this like exclusiveness that comes when taking it, especially when the person whose taken the claim really likes the character and decides to make it one of their OC's. then its like is it really their character or is it still yours. and i suppose this kind of thinking has lead to many people not wanting to do wanted ads, at least for the people who's been around.

personally i dont do wanted ads bc i end up getting lost and going on a tangent and at that point im envisioning plot y when they're meant for plot x.
