It's probably best if you start with kanji slowly because all-hiragana sentences are actually hell to read in qq (i thought pokemon games would be easy oml) I get that it's harder for some people though. kanji is basically memorizing 100000 pictures (but they are made up of similar smaller pics so uh, might/might not help)

Thankies ;-; For as long as I remember, I was made to believe Kanji was the hardest to learn haha. 
But I will by start getting a grasp on that.

I studied Japanese in college and still try to practice now and then still but not fully. I'd say I'm back at novice level but I'd probably be interested in checking this out :o

I'm EST here and my only free time are weekends mainly or Wednesday and Thursday evenings. I don't stream if my youngest son is here which is every other weekend. But other than that, I'm down to play anytime :3 I stay up super late on Friday and Saturday.

Unfortunately I can't really compare as I've never been part of a Discord-based RP...
But my main reasoning is message limit I'd have to say. Discord limits how long messages can be ( you get more with nitro but then that's money you have to put out ) and I tend to type a lot when it comes to my RP threads.
As for accessibility, I imagine it's about the same. While I use discord as a hub for my site, there are many features that were moved to discord for the ease and accessibility.
I think it also matters which forum host you plan on using as well... I'm solely on jcink but navigation is as easy as you choose to have it ( I decked out my nav bar and bookmark other things that I need to reference too lol ).
I hope this helps at all... but I'm sure someone who is versed in both discord and site RP will be able to be more helpful ^^;
