itโ€™s all about ships i think. everyoneโ€™s gotta be available to someone no matter what, regardless of sexuality. some folks put A LOT of stock into it. not everyone ofc but i feel like thats what it comes down to.

This reminded me of once upon a roleplay when someone was upset/bitter/miffed/insert better word here that they "didn't get the ship" based solely on the fact that their character had feelings for another character first. And by first, in this case it was by happenstance that these two characters threaded with each other before threading with any other characters. There's often this idea that if your characters "click" in some way or have literally any "feeling" that they are now bound together and you're not allowed to explore literally anything else. And while there's nothing wrong with things working out immediately, there's also nothing wrong with testing the waters and seeing what else is out there and finding what's right to write for you.
The text I highlighted in blue... I think I broke up a ship once because of this?

This wasn't MY ship either! But it was a ship between two other players who I think fell into the same trap so to speak. Or that like, every positive interaction between these characters = growing romantic feelings like that's how they felt they were supposed to play it out. But one of the players had confessed to me that they weren't digging the ship, neither character was really growing or changing, and they just weren't into it anymore. And I said, well if you're not having fun, then just break up?? Because it's not fair or fun to either of you if one of you is feeling resentful towards it. I didn't say "go break up right now just shatter her heart!!!", I just said "if you have feelings, do what you gotta do".

And then the ship broke up shortly after this conversation :T But the player I had spoken with did seem a little happier and freer after, even if they did leave the site as well not too too long after. But sometimes you just you know... Gotta do what you gotta do!

more than i intend to or think iโ€™m in. since not everyone replies at the same time, i always feel like im in very few threads, when the reality is i could be in between 5-10 threads at once. in the past i really did have a million threads going on it felt like, but this was way back in the day before alerts and tag channels were a thing so it was easier to lose track of current, active threads. esp back in the days when it was one account-per-person and not per character.

My highest PCs from sites that were one account-per-member:
2617 and 3000+, I don't remember the exact number nor am I able to look it up at this moment. Now granted, most of these are not IC posts so the actual numbers are probably way lower.

As for account-per-character:
My current highest is 35.
My former highest was also... 35 LOL

Which is all I can find because all my others accounts have been deleted so god only knows. I feel like they probably weren't very high to begin with, maybe topping around 20-30. I never really payed attention too hard ever since coming into the world of a-p-c, but I never tracked it either when it was all lumped into one account LMAO. Though if I had to guess, for at least two characters in the past, at LEAST 100 posts each, if I ever cared to go back and actually track them down.
