My faith in humanity was restored, even if for a little bit...

I got off the bus a little early today before heading home. So I went to the Starbucks near the terminal. I got smth for myself, and then I said, "whatever they're getting, I'll cover it" and the people behind me were like "what" and then "yeah, what they're getting I'll pay" and it went on and on and on

When I left heck, the guard was last in line and I heard the last person say "what he's getting, I'll pay for it!"

I miss being Staff and doing things.

But all the stress that comes with it just… it kind of ruined my muse for a good while, and I seriously considered stepping away from RP for good because of one incident that happened on a place I used to be an Admin on two, almost three years ago now (it was on a Pokémon site, that's all I'm willing to disclose).

It really did a number on me in general, and I just… got averse to the thought of being Staff again when you know that someone on the team isn’t doing their weight and work. Then you get shoved off the team just because you prioritize iRL first before RP, and then it's all downhill from there. The site has long since been closed, but when I look back at it now...

Maybe some people shouldn't take RPing too seriously and mix iRL with online? I mean, we all have lives offline too, right?

(not a callout, just sharing my personal experience!)
