Hey all!

I'm looking for someone interested in taking on the father role for a character of mine on a Dragon Ball site! The site is AU and OC-oriented, so no canon characters or the like.

My character is a half-Saiyan mercenary born and raised on Earth trying to make his way through the universe and find his place among the stars, and while he grew up with his maternal family, he's been lacking a father his entire life. As such, I would like to explore the father-son relationship in a roleplay, as I think it's an arc with a lot of plot potential and emotional payout.

If you wanted to go the route of the birth father, a few basic facts: his father was a Saiyan and a wandering mercenary himself who had a brief relationship with my character's mother before she left him to return to Earth and have her child there. As for the rest, you can fill out the character however you like. They can be a low class Saiyan or an Elite, et cetera.

If you want to go the route of a more general father figure, I'm open to discussion!

I feel this. I always worry somebody is going to be all "ugh, look at this person, taking ranks on their own site, I bet they designed it just for themselves."

Then I started to think and I'm just like "well, it's my site. If anyone is well suited to taking the position, using it for its intended purpose, and keeping it active, it is me". Because, as a staff, I'm inherently active. If not, well, the site is screwed anyways, unless there is a larger staff backing it.

Okay, spitballing here, but: a fantasy setting with the conventions of Western-style world building, like DnD, Lord of the Rings, et cetera, but with the action of a shonen anime. Very simple mechanics/progression system to determine what a character can do/how strong they are, but no math or the like in battle.

Okay, so this is irking me, but like, I sometimes feel like "why do I even bother writing stuff for my site, it's like no one reads it". Like, lately, it's a certain species on my site that a few people have applied for, but they all are like "X in Y" when, no, that species is not from Y and they have their own homeland, but because it shares a name with a theological concept in the west, a lot of people just seem to go glossy in the eyes.
