I struggle with the balance between fairness and enjoyment/other member’s enjoyment of my site, or at least which point becomes ‘enough is enough’ and trying to pinpoint actual problematic behaviour rather than mine/other’s general annoyance. I don’t know where my boundaries are! It’s a nightmare! 

On the other hand when someone is being abusive or harmful I Have No Mercy and even tho I’ve been called too patient in a lot of circumstances, once I’ve made a decision I can be really headstrong about it for five minutes and even when it’s the best decision for the site, I torment myself by constantly reliving the moment and hating myself for it. Another nightmare!!

Also I make my harsh decisions usually first thing in the morning after a hangover. 

After so many years I think I’ve also perfected my radar for Those Certain Type of Members from their very first greeting in the cbox. Don’t be so judgemental Gitty, you might say, but when you’ve relieved the experience of that first ‘sup’ or ‘yo’ or ‘o.o’ in the cbox and discord for over a decade, when you’ve seen the ‘thinking of joining’ and the non committal responses to your answers to questions, to the app that needs pending, then arguing about, then fixing, before That Type of Member makes one thread and then Leaves, lemme tell you I Know. I Know exactly what you are going to do and who you are and am very grumpy throughout.

Also What Are Even Checking Reserved Face Claim Dates?? Thank God for my other mods. : prayer hands emoji :

im not familiar with eldritch omg :o but i reckon it's pretty similar to my idea and like i support lovecraftian aesthetics like so muc h.


oh yeah! i meant in terms of eldritch horrors = the monsters from lovecraft. there's so much scope there for weird and horrifyingly wonderful mishaps and happening. hnng it's such an underrated genre. 

also chucking my own list here:

- vampire the masquerade-inspired site, vampire clans and politics, from the nasty to the gothic romanticism. 

- small town, twin peaks-influenced, murder n' coffee and doughnuts. 

- sky pirates and airshiiiips; this always reminds me of the edge chronciles with flying researchers? gimme gimme

- anything involving necromancy tbh; resurrecting shades, maybe an even more fantasy-based setting (abhorsen chronicles inspired?) with necromancer hunters. 

- on that note there's a really good series of books called the craft sequence by max gladstone, including demon-summoning lawyers, CEO liches and lawsuits being raised against gods.

hello! i'm gitty, also known as bats and eaten throughout my fourteen (??) years of rping! i'm really bad at keeping up with resource sites but this time, this time guys, it'll be different, i swear. 

i'm a big fan of science fiction, gothic horror and unorthodox genres/themes. give me the complicated, sink-your-teeth-into stuff, the bolder the better. i'm active both in animanga and rl rp so you might have seen me in different places at a time, feel free to holla at me anytime! 

in my daily life i work at a university and as a copywriter, but i am working on a few interactive fiction pieces on the side so talking about writing, especially alternative styles of writing is my jam. i'm based in the UK and god damn what does everyone else mention in intros i have no idea --

anime-wise i'm super old school and haven't caught up with anything in the past 3424 years. my favourites include saiyuki, prince of tennis (i know, i know), psycho pass, jojo and zankyou no terror. if you have any recommendations just let me know! it's great to be here with everyone!
