UPDATE:
Sorry for the lack of updates this week, was busy winding down work stuff with the upcoming holidays! But when I had an hour here and there I worked on the site, and I'm tentatively ready to open it up to beta-testers. I'll be PMing everyone who expressed interest in a bit. 

For now I'm going the "promote via post" route, but obviously we'll have to wait and see how that plays out. This isn't a huuuge update I guess, but hopefully I'll have more to say once the first round of people get a look at the site and give their thoughts on it lmao

What exactly does this mean? Does this mean we we can't have S+ or SS/SSS rated ghouls? If it helps to have some sort of skeleton in terms of "battle system, you could always do something like I did for KD, though it is a hit-or-miss for people. Basically, I had set up so many tiers (Tier 1-6). The basic gist is that tier 1 might have a fighting chance against tier II, but will most likely lose against Tier III unless they have A+ strategy, and will definitely lose against Tier IV (in a one-on-one, at least). Something like that might work for ratings? But not sure! Just some food for thought.

As for higher-ranked ghouls, SS/SSS will still be accessible (as will special class investigators), they just won't be available upon creation. So you'll be able to immediately make ghouls that are S and S+, but for the highest tiers they'll need to be promoted / bought from a shop. This is just to try and keep people from immediately making 100+ SSS ghouls or having every investigator be the best ever. At the same time having powerful characters is fun, so I don't want to remove them from the pool completely.

And yeah! When I say no battle system, I probably should have clarified it as not having a definitive judging system and instead allowing players to decide ahead of time who wins via plotting. Though, yeah, if people really want a battling system, I'd probably implement something similar to what you have + the whole rock-paper-scissors the kugane types have going on.

as much as i love persona and pokemon, neither quite scratch the itch shin megami tensei does, and i'd absolutely die for an rp based on the series.

but god I wish i could play more than one game at a time hnnngh. (cut to me chaining ten thousand eevees in let's go eevee for a shiny) 

and also didn't have 12 million alts in FF14 with backstory for all of them b/c i'm not even on an rp server god why. (also i wish i didn't have tank anxiety b/c i have no problem maining super salty healers in mmos but for some reason having to be dungeon leader just makes me urk -- and i wish i'd get over it so i could actually play the dumb dragon girl warrior i made ;w;)
