Not gonna lie, this isn't 100% an interest check as a number of people have already expressed interest. Instead, this could be considered something of a sign-up thread for early testing of the site itself. For people who are interested in what's essentially beta-testing. With Tokyo Ghoul being complete, we've had a lot of questions answered which leaves me in the interesting position of attempting to move over a lot of what made Tokyo Ghoul so compelling into a play-by-post format.[break][break]

Like a lot of people I was an absolute sucker for the interpersonal relationships and the complicated politics that TG was rife with. At the same time, I recognize that a lot of people also found the repeated clashes between CCG and the ghouls to be great entertainment. And yet (on a heretofore unknown third hand) I've found battle systems and their like can sometimes overshadow the plots and drama and the result is a bunch of people rushing to become the strongest. So I said fuck battle systems and have only limited the highest ratings for ghouls and investigators. Also civilians are a thing - and can totally be caught for nefarious one-eye ghoul experiments or work to join the investigators. [break][break]

I also cut down the 24 wards to a more manageable ten, focusing on wards of significant importance in the story.[break][break]

Being a non-canon roleplay, most of the major players from the original work are absent. Certain important groups, like the Washuu clan still exist, though they are now mostly confined to a background role. Dr. Akihiko Kanou, who was responsible for the majority of artificial one-eyed ghouls is absent though there is certainly a rogue doctor performing these surgeries. Likewise the Tsukiyama family is absent - but this does not mean that other powerful ghoul families do not exist in their place.[break][break]
