So today I found out one of my friends, who had suddenly been acting real shitty towards me, believed I had leaked some private group conversations...because a mutual friend of ours stirred the pot and said they totally had evidence of me doing it. (No, you can't see it, but it's super duper real.)

So now, weeks later, he found out that I had not, in fact, been leaking private group conversations and apologised to me for treating me that way. (I had been confused by his sudden behavioural change before then.)

But I'm a shitty person and can't accept his apologies, so now we're no longer friends.

._. Why am I like this
"Once upon a time I was a baker and everybody was impressed. But I didn’t need approval because I already knew I was the best. Everything I made was a masterpiece - it all taste like heaven! But then unfortunately I turned seven."

and not only that, it's an environmental disaster.

This doesn't get highlighted enough.

I've seen enough AI drivel being submitted as though it were genuine work that I'm disappointed in people.

And if you're in the roleplay business because you want to feed prompts to a language learning model and put that out to others, then I'll pass. I can feed prompts to learning models myself if I want that experience.

Some of the freelancers I worked with have not been given new work because a big publisher decided that, you know what? A learning model can do translation for us, it's just replacing x word with y word anyway! And editing the nonsense those learning models put out is such a laborious chore, freelancers have to be brought on to make sense of the translation anyway (but at a lowered rate, because it's just correcting an LLM's output, even though the workload increases).

These things are doing actual harm to people's livelihoods as well as to the planet.

Folding clothes is the worst chore of them all. No one can change my mind.
I’ll fold your clothes if you come and wash my windows.

what i'm seeing is how people say they will support some site, but when it's time to show it, they're not around.

I've actually had sites I was chuffed to join but they only offered a dark skin that'd cause halation for me and blind me within ten minutes.

Big sad. Also the reason I haven't hopped into two sites I've had an eye on.

Maybe it's because I'm just so used to not really having to write it out, but I can't get the hang of just writing out a character's appearance for an app. Just let me slap on a pic and call it a day-
I'd usually prefer a description to be one paragraph, two at most, that just notes the most striking things anyway.

"Midoriya Izuku is the type to stand out in a crowd, but for the wrong reasons. With his freckles, messy green hair, and short, hunched stature, he looks every bit the nerd he is inside. But turn your gaze down, and under his slapped together wardrobe there are the type of bulging muscles you'd introduce to your friends as Frank and Argument."

Since most roleplayers will include another description of the character in posts, and animanga has all these faceclaims, I don't really believe in extensive description sections, especially when accompanied by wordcount requirements that have people reaching for flowery prose and thesauruses.

Don't you just love women who exist for no reason other than to please the man
oh yeah it's great lmao. there's a whole subreddit (that i'm sure you're already aware of) called r/menwritingwomen and if you ever want to make yourself feel better about your ability to write characters different from you, that's the place to go. this isn't exclusively a man thing either obviously, but it's usually funnier.
I spent too long browsing that sub, and my faith in men's ability to write actual women rather than objects has evaporated.

Reading this writer describe his female lead as "drop-dead gorgeous, with beautiful eyes, alluring legs, a captivating body" and I have no clue what the hell this lady looks like.
she's very hot and sexy what else do we need to know about her? /shot

I don't play Genshin, but I'm so glad they have another brown-skinned character because surely he'll get a lot of art. :D

I remember roleplaying on a site called Patisserie, and I really dug that the staff team took the effort to welcome me in and immediately offered me some of my first plots and threads. I liked that a lot, props to them.

Yeah, the story of the admin kicking out someone who did nothing wrong except earn the dislike of a clique just made me think what an absolute weapon that admin is. They firmly deserve the blame for letting members dictate who is or is not welcome at their site.

Like, I wrote some entries for the Spring Bingo Event, and put a like on them and it made me feel valued and happy.

Be like Pharaoh Leap.
