I'm not sure what my first ones were, but the oldest I remember is Himura Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin and Furukawa Nagisa from Clannad.

Right now, as I am kindaaaa super invested in BanG Dream and Revue Starlight, there's Shirokane Rinko, Wakamiya Eve, and Yumeoji Shiori.

For a latest husbando... iunno... Aijou Rentarou from 100 Kanojo?

I want a place to write in. I'm already looking in various places, and I'm not really sure if people check here still, but I feel I'd like to take my chances.

I want a medieval fantasy site, or a JRPG-style fantasy site--- you know the type, usual medieval fantasy alongside magic-powered technology. The catch is... I want to apply as a certain character whose settings, abilities, and backstory might not always jive with the settings and limitations of such sites.

I've already talked about this guy before: he's a spirit who assisted a mage in a great deed to save many people, but at the cost of the mage's life. Devastated, he fell into hibernation and assumed the mage's form, waking up in the current time as an amnesiac doppelganger of the mage. He has the empathic ability to foresee what people would do, and water and sealing magic.

Regarding other sites...

I'm looking for a laidback Pokemon site, possibly.

A superhero site--- I've already seen one, but I'm not quite sure of going into it yet. I do have a couple of character ideas for a comicbook-y setting, and I appreciate sites that don't limit themselves to just mutations for power sources (looking at all of you BNHA sites XD). A chance to play as something like a Kamen Rider would be great too.

A RWBY site may be fun, if I could get people to join me in a team and have a theme, like the four riders of the apocalypse, or the four beasts of the directions in Asian mythology.

Just animanga face claims, please. Feel free to ask me for clarifications.

Have at it.

Mrm, I was under the impression that a certain amount of superhuman skill and strength is needed to keep up with youkai. Anime also do tend to give their swordsmen superlative feats. I guess this either means such things either aren't considered supernatural, or the effect that a youkai can create is not so great that it cannot be surmounted by human effort.

Mrm, I guess I'll see once there's more in-depth lore. Thanks for humoring me!

Hrm... I'm mostly intrigued because having freedom with abilities as youkai sounds great for a character idea of mine, but he doesn't fit completely neatly into a youkai type, or at least as far as I know...

Oh, right, are humans limited to what real humans can do, or could they possibly do superhuman feats beyond onmyodo?

As for humans specifically, I'd prefer to stay away from giving them supernatural abilities (save from onmyodo, of course). Frankly, if both humans and yokai/oni had supernatural abilities, there would be no reason to differentiate between the two, buuuut that's just my opinion. ヽ(〃・ω・)ノ

Hrmmm. I was thinking about humans being limited to supernatural physical feats, like Sango from Inu Yasha, although I do understand if it's just onmyodo who have the capacity to challenge the youkai... or do those things fall into onmyodo as well?

I want to get into a site, after having a slump on anything writing-related for the last couple of months... not really sure what I want, though...

I prefer fantasy settings, but fantasy boards often have limits and bans that prevent certain character concepts of mine from working, and so I end up getting disappointed with them.

I guess I could try a RWBY site? Is there one that allows robot characters? Or one with members that would be amenable to providing other characters for a themed team? Kinda want to do the Four Symbols... or the Riders of the Apocalypse... for a theme.

Could do Pokemon, as well, I suppose... and superhero sites, although I have a similar problem to them where origins beyond mutations aren't allowed. Any site that lets me be a Kamen Rider or an expy of it is a win, too.

Just animanga face claims, please.

If you want me to elaborate about character concepts, just poke me, I guess.

So I've fielded this idea before, but not quite appropriately, so I'm wondering if there'd be any interest.

I've been thinking of a semi-medieval-with-a-dash-of-magitech setting, kinda similar to the world of the JRPG Series Legend of Heroes, a world once governed by an elite and tyrannical group of mages in a floating castle city, who were deposed after a successful revolution. In the aftermath, the mages' fortresses became dungeon-like treacherous ruins due to all sorts of magic going haywire, becoming places that adventurers and treasure hunters delve into for magic items. Merchant kings became the ruling caste and mages either went into seclusion or became slaves, while artisans strove to reverse engineer the work of the mages. Meanwhile, certain extraplanar creatures start to enter the world without the mages' seals to keep them at bay. ...and I kinda want to introduce a church too of good guys that aren't a conspiracy, for a change.

Log Horizon sounds cool too. Watched a bit of it recently.

So  and I are thinking of putting up a fantasy site where the main draw is open race creation. This means that members can create almost any race they can find an illustrated faceclaim for. Focus will be put on both races and abilities - members will be able to create both with a short list of restrictions placed on them.

In addition, I'd like to add a stipulation: this site will be faction-based and player-driven. There will be a basic premise, but it'll be up to players to drive the site plot in whatever direction they see fit.

I can do site lore and administrativa and Link can do some coding, but we'll need someone who's familiar with skinning to get this idea off the map. Reply to this post if you're interested!

I'm tentatively interested in any idea that gives a lot of freedom, although the setting might probably influence my decision either way... and maybe metaphysical implications of certain character races existing... >.> I don't know how to skin, though.

Intriguing. The usual stumbling block I get from this sort of set-ups is them disallowing certain abilities like combat precognition... but it does seem like a very free-for-all kinda thing.

From the other end of thought... could a character be based on the continent? Like, say, maybe an amnesiac that the adventurers find in a ruin somewhere there XD

Also I love all the exclamation points.
