Mmmph, I feel this on a visceral level. I definitely have been guilty of being cut throat- you cross me once and we're done. It's only recently that I've learned that "Maybe its not that serious?" and to give people some slack. Sometimes their apparent lack of consideration is just them being distracted with their own complex narratives. Who knew?

One advice I would give myself (or anyone struggling with feeling worthy of things) is to just flat out try. Even if you're told no, a rejection stings a lot less than not trying. Well, it might- but it passes faster than the lingering regret of "what if?"!

Digimon, anyone?

Working on a site with a few friends called Digimon: Our War Game (yes I yoinked the working from one of the movies).

The premise takes elements from Digimon Tamers and Adventure series. Focuses on the impact of a location based AR mobile game (think Pokémon Go but like, Digimon go?). For most people it’s a curious little fad- for OCs it has greater implications when they become bonded with actual real life Digimon partners. There’s faction war elements, with an over arching world plot that is focused on leaving enough room for character driven stories as well.

If anyone’s particularly interested in keeping up with progress (or helping out or testing stuff!), my Discord is Kewkew#3947. It’s in the initial stages, aiming for a mid spring/early summer opening.

I absolutely would be here for it. Would it be more of a freeform kind of site mechanics-wise? One of the biggest deterrents with me and pokemon sites are the super robust battle/leveling/mechanics aspect. Like it's always well thought out and probably very well done, but its a matter of me not being able to deal with this.

That would be a dream to see one day. I think I may not be finding the ones out there that may be doing it, but I find that so many of the RPs in the realm I play in seem to want to make the whole world (quite literally) available. While i like how it can make it much easier to have a variety of characters and origins (cuz how many foreigners are there really going to be in a British boarding school or Japanese day school?), it can be a little daunting. If you can just relocate from some problems, it makes it easy to not carry stakes in some plots.
