i have an idea for a dark, high fantasy that is based on a lot of stuff, like elder scrolls, dune, warhammer, hyperion cantos and highlander (the one with the swords). basically on a planet that's definitely not ours, and this pantheon of space gods are constantly burning through new "champions" or people cursed with immortality. immortality is not uncommon but also sucks massive ass. i'd also like to make it semi-open lore. fuck it. give me medieval alien monsters pls

so i know that responsive timeline codes already exist. are you familiar with responsive coding at all? because if you are, i've found a responsive timeline code that maybe you could fiddle with right here if you're unable to find someone to do it for you! (i did not make this i just forked it so i could find it again lmao)

i've been chewing on this comment since last night and i think it's a good example of how the community has changed, not necessarily for the better. no one shares anymore. no one wants to make premades skins bc of just how time consuming they are, even without all the extra stuff that comes with custom/purchased skins these days. so i think a significant part of this is for people to stop...expecting all the bells and whistles all the time. like not every skin needs a custom fancy board mod, or a million extra templates made for the site. but it's all expected now.

i'm a selfish coder by nature, and my number #1 priority when i skin is "what do i like?" and while a lot of the time i think it's really helpful to think that way when coding; i'm running into issues where i feel like i'm just doing the same thing over and over. i'm always trying new techniques and whatnot, but god forbid i don't put a sticky bar at the top with all of the links i need and the account swap thing or something. accessibility was one of the reasons i started coding, and it drives me nuts when an otherwise gorgeous skin isn't user friendly. like if i have to go on a scavenger hunt to find the account switcher thing on my jcink skin, i feel like it's a detriment. i know it's really not that deep, but i feel like i've trapped myself in this box of what an accessible and easy to navigate skin has to be like.
