-How familiar are you with Cyberpunk?
I've played 2077, watched Edgedrunners, read most of the comics, own a copy of Cyberpunk Red, and own a copy of The World of Cyberpunk 2077. So only a bit.

-What do you think of when you hear “Cyberpunk”?
The genre mostly.

-Going with your first impulse, your gut feeling, what would your first character be like?

I want some zombies, pleaseeee. idc if it's w powers, pokemon, panforum - anything. I just want to beat up the undead w a bat
I've been reading the Marvel Zombies reboot and DCeased so a superpowered zombie site sounds like it would be a fun time.

Apex Legends styled battle royal rp that is quasi-permadeath. The idea being that each contestant has their memories implanted into a cloned body upon death. This has been my personal headcanon for Apex Legends for a while now and I think the idea would make for an interesting RP. "Randomized teams" make a good excuse for fun character combinations/interactions when taking part in the games and the downtime between matches would offer nice slice-of-life bits outside of the games.

Worm has a great power system! I would love to see a site based even off of that. I remember loving Worm and trying to put people onto it, haha. Imagine collaborative endbringer battles...!
I know right! Events with S-class threats; Endbringers, the sever's own brand of slaughterhouse/murder hobbos, anything! Plus the staff team could handle powers because Worm is all about making the best of what you got, and creative power usage. People could put in their app any classification, or maybe describing their shard's use in the cycle, and the staff could work with coming up with their power based on that.

Either way, I would love anything remotely similar to worm in nature! It's literally my favorite slice of fiction.
I love Worm's power system! It is so simple yet complex enough that it would make Worm perfect for a RP.
I enjoy My Hero Academia but I'm tired of it being the only option for a animanga superhero rp.

Is it bad that I want a Worm RP bad enough that I already have character ideas in my head? Because I do.

Lately, I've been wanting a Watch Dogs: Legion inspired rp. Just wanting to fight a totalitarian regime has just been a mood as of late. You could even add a fun bit of non-intrusive randomness by having the masks given to each member of the resistance to hide their identities be randomly assigned to the character after profile completion.

A panfandom that's superhero inspired. No character created/ran city state or intervention from gods like typical pandandoms. Just characters getting isekaied into a modernish setting and using their abilities (if they have any) to play the role of hero, villain, or in-between because it's just in their nature to do so. Maybe even create some teams for characters to join to add some cohesion to it all.

I personally like the randomization because I'm a sucker for gimmicks. But I'm not shocked if someone isn't interested in the concept. Randomizing your own character is essentially giving up some control over them. And some people feel uncomfortable about that, especially if they prefer to role play as a certain gender or sexuality. It's one of the reasons why character randomization tables aren't popular with tabletop role playing like D&D. It's a rather fun idea that unfortunately has kind of a niche audience.

A possible solution may be to give the play some control back by introducing the concept of re-rolls. If a person can keep re-rolling until they get something they're comfortable with then they may be more willing to try the idea of randomization.

yeah i defs agree that a lot of black mirror episodes would be p cool site concepts but. that one. that specific episode. amazing. i love it.

i really wish i had more time since honestly i'd love to just. mid-sized city, slice of life, light supernatural / mythological / modern fantasy elements for some flavor (supernatural species aren't in hiding, everyone just kind of lives in harmony, no set races cuz idgaf), set it in "atlantis" for a limited setting where it's a dating app that sprung up from magical pairings in search of soulmates, pairings are randomized once a month from signups provided there's enough participants, members get to pick the ic duration of the pairing and any actual "endgame soulmate" pairings, and just. call it a day. but i do not have the time and instead will just "hey if someone wants to take this and do a thing, i give you my blessing, and if the setup is right for me, i would love to come and actually rp on the thing tbeh."
If we're adding magical/supernatural elements to it then can we make the app be made by a God/Goddess of Love instead? Possibly with the punishment of some divine wraith to those who refuse. The idea of some divine being enforcing their will or even doing this out of amusement just sounds much more entertaining to me.

this idea is dumb as hell, but i'm laughing --

a "romance" site kinda like the show we got married or like those shows where ppl pretend to be married

i'm laughing like what if the site was like you made your character, then you got randomized into a pair with another person and had to live together and pretend to be married or SOMETHING - random ships, idk this sounded better in my head

anyway, i had to get this out LOL
First of all, the idea can't be that dumb if there is already a manga with a very similar concept only with it being a mandatory course in high school instead of a reality show (More than a Couple, Less than Lovers). Second, I would be completely down with randomly pairing characters and forcing them to pretend to be lovey dovey as I enjoy the idea of potential shenanigans. Perhaps everyone gets a new randomized partner once a month or so as both a part of the game and to maximize the shenanigans/drama.
