Props to all of you with individual board images. This is insanity. Visually appealing, but still insanity.
Completely painful, I never want to change the images ever again.

I'd say the first option draws my attention more than the second! But if you're really trying to draw the people that are familiar with the game and the UI, the second one would draw their eye more. The first one feels like it would be better as the main one, and then post the second one on boards that have video games as source material.

That said, best of luck, this looks really cool!

How often do you guys activity check/what's ideal? I know activity checks can be a strain, especially with a smaller staff, and it's always a pain in the butt to clean up, but I also know that I get very turned off when a site doesn't look very clean and has a lot of dead accounts. We're probably going to go for less often, but what's standard practice?

It was a cold and dark December
From the rooftops I remember
There was snow
White snow

The view out the window was but a distraction, the concept of time such a silly, frivolous thing in the lunar city. One would have thought that the notion of seasons and climate would have been something that could have been done away with after two centuries of disconnection, but there were things that they simply clung onto.

He supposed it was fitting, the chill that ran deep into his bones, the puffer fur-lined jacket that felt like a blanket draped over his shoulders, and the shades of gray and fog that coated the city.

Everything was settled, right then and there. The swipe of the pen over the last piece of paper signed it all away. A liberation or an exile, he wasn't quite sure how to feel about it. All he knew was that the moment that he put the pen down, it was as if hell had frozen over; as if something was severed.

"We'll get ready for the seasonal promotions and the new year. Enjoy this last month and we'll get your recordings done. Do we want to rushโ€”"

"It's alright. I'm in no rush to release it. It's probably better that way," he said, waving his hand as he picked up his peppermint mocha, the warmth of the cardboard reaching the palm of his hand. "Am I free for the rest of the day now?"

A nod and a motion toward the door. Taking his scarf from the back of the chair, he threw it over his shoulder, wrapping himself ear to ear as he walked toward the elevator, descending the building to the city streets below.

An exhale out, he could see his breath. He wished that he hadn't foregone the gloves today. The peppermint mocha would only last him so long.

He crossed the street when the light flashed green, made his way down the block, until he reached the park. A green speck among this sea of greys, the sound of laughter and the twinkling strings of lights seemed to spark some light in his downcast emerald eyes. The scratch of skates on ice, the jingling of silver bells, and the warm smell of mulled spiced wine reminded him of the season.

Standing in front of the decorated tree that stood proudly at the center of the park, he looked up at the twinkling star, gazed upon it as if he could make a wish now.

It would remain silent for now, only loud enough for his heart to hear.

when members break codes (eg. apps/member directory posts) and it's very obviously broken but they just leave it and don't tell anyone like... please... please let me help you. being asked for help is never annoying but it's incredibly frustrating to stumble across broken posts randomly!!
i thank god every day for you

and i'll try to stop breaking everything i touch

There's something almost laughable about a practical eternal hosting such interest in something as mundane as stealing, but that was perhaps why the gods of old were known for making mischief among the stars. They were undeniably bored, and it was perhaps the only way they were to maintain their wits, lest they go the other routeโ€” rage and wrath.

But okay legit props to whatever you guys do for your writing process. I just... type directly into the box and hope that my post doesn't end up in the aether. But it's okay if they do end up in the aether, I'll end up writing something different and feeling like it's an improvement from what I'd just written.

I'm really bad at rereading my posts unless there was something that really stood out to me, but I'll fix mistakes if I see them if I reread, and it's really easy to make fun of my typos to get me to change them back ahigpeihgw

With grad school writing, I don't put as much thought into the process in my writing for pleasure stuff as a perfectionist me from several years ago would've wanted to. You'll get these words as fast as I could type them.

That brings me back to a simpler time when my biggest concern was figuring out how to dress up Barbie Swan Lake and the My Scene Girls, what an era.
