I'm the same when it comes to me trying to figure things out on my own. I look up instruction videos, but don't actually listen to the instructions. I just watch what their doing, look at what I'm doing, and connect the dots. Maybe it's because it makes me feel like I'm only following instructions, and am still doing it myself. Like i'm putting together a bike, (cause why not?), and I've mainly just been looking at pictures of the bike, and looking up what type of things i'll need to make the bike look and feel newer. (Mind you, this is not a new bike. This thing looks like it's older than me.)

Once I put this bike together, that will lead me to being able to put together larger things like a car or such.

going thru one of those periods where im just unhappy with my writing style. which sucks because i want to write. sigh
It's not my style I hate, but the amount I write. It sucks when my partner is writing 5 page essay's as a response, and then my stuff looks like Elmo with a crayon.

Also, if I make a character that I later suck roleplaying as, I just slowly fade him out of existence.

(I'm not even gonna mention the fact that League of Legends - Wild Rift isn't coming to the US until sometime during summer 2021, yet other countries like Asia and parts of Europe already have the game. Come on creators, your literally based in the US, how is your own country the last ones to get the game?)
If you're interested in a real answer, a lot of this is due to geography, technology, and demographics / player size. A lot of games test in SEA area due to culture, infrastructure, and stress testing.

Riot has some very interesting technology based blogs that explain the process with other projects such as League's Clash system and why they tested it in Asia first! It's a multi-faceted answer but some of the basic ones are the internet structure in certain areas like Japan and Korea are much better than America. The mobile gaming culture in Asia also tends to be more profitable. China isn't getting a server for testing but they rake in around 200 Million (?) on Tencent's mobile MOBA.
Me too dumb. Big words bad. Does not compute. Activating denial, raising anger levels.

Riot bad. My opinion good.

(Anyway, I know there's a lot of factors in launching the game here. Like how china LoL makes the most money for Riot, and that they are owned by a Chinese company.)

Overwatch 2 released it's gameplay trailer on Youtube on November 1st 2019, and since then, has given the public little to no information about the game and it's release.

Blizzard needs to clean up their act a bit man, I mean, I understand Corona puts a dent in things, that's understandable, but I still don't think they were planning to release the game this year anyway. There's already controversy when it comes to this game. (When revealed, it basically looked like Overwatch with a new character, a new mode, and PVE. Along with the ability to customize your characters abilities. [something of which looks like it'll only be for PVE]) These additions just felt like things that could've just been added to regular Overwatch. Blizzard has said before that they'll never add DLC's to Overwatch, but a lot of fans are saying that Overwatch 2 is just a glorified DLC. I personally have no opinion about it. While I do think what they showed really isn't something that warrents a new game, I also believe there will be plenty of things they haven't shown us, like new characters and modes. However, I do think it's a kick in the nuts a bit when developers showcase upcoming games without even being close to finishing. There was SO much hype for the game when they announced it. But now? You don't hear a peep. There's not even a hint of when the game may be coming out. They basically just said, "Wait till February of 2021, when we'll have virtual Blizzcon, then there may be some info." Idk, I understand games are hard to make, but don't reveal games that aren't coming out soon. That hype will just turn to bitterness and "What? Oh yeah, that game. I thought it came out already?" I would say the best time to release a game is when hype is at it's height. Not a year, (or possibly 2 years), later.

I swear. If I see another god dang main character who's being bullied, I'm gonna blow a gasket. Like jesus, do people not know how to write any other character? I mean that's cool and all as a origin, but it's literally ALL THE TIME. Why are all these people being bullied? Can I watch one movie/show or read one magna/webtoon where the main character is a regular guy? Do writers do this so that the MC is relatable? I didn't get bullied, I don't relate. And it's not even the fact that they're beign bullied, it's how bland it is half the time, or how unrealistic some of these happenings are. Are they doing this so the MC has a struggle? Is bullying the only struggle people know?

I know that they both already have canon relationships, but come on... name ONE cute moment Inosuke and Aoi had. ONE. Can you name any? No? Me freakin neither. I felt like in the end, the author saw both of them were single, and was like, "welp, I need to rap up the series, but these guys are single. Here, yall are together now."

While I do admit Zenitsu and Nezuko is cute, i'm sorry, but I ship Zenitsu and Aoi.

(Also, I think that if you ship Bakugo and Uraraka, then your pure evil, and need to be purged.)

As for when it comes to rp, I like it when ships are really at each other's throats. Maybe it's because I rp as a lot of villains, and all my ships are usually villains as well, but I love "We are always arguing and insulting, but we still like each other in the end."

I've got enough worries in my own life to give a crud about a rando on the sidewalk, so no, I don't think about my fellow walker much. Also, I'd like to hear the argument that the mc is insane more then you boyfriends argument that he's not, because from what you write, him being crazy makes 0 sense.

If I was in the main characters position, I would just keep walking without moving. If the dapper man moves, I'm the alpha and he's a beta. If we run into each other, than whoever falls over is the beta. If neither falls over, we would both be alpha's, and thus respect each other and keep walking.

I don't use anything too fancy, and find that for me, piskel.com and pixelart.com work fine. (I prefer pixelart for drawing, and piskel for making animations).

The person that's writing the guide is probably much better than me at pixel art, so she probably uses different methods, but in her shading tutorial, she's basically just trying to tell you not to make your other shades to dark or muddy. I would just say that the darker/lighter tool is good for finding different shades of your colors, but should also be messed with a bit, to make sure that it's not too bright or too dark, like the person in the tutorial says.

Hope that makes sense.

Here's an old pixel art:

Double post, cause I also have some art I wanna share. I would put it in my gallery, but I named it 'pixel art and gifs', and none of my drawings are either of those.

Ok so, I found a folder in my garage that contained some art from when I was younger. This one is pretty bad, so don't judge my 11 or 12 year old self too hard. (If your wondering, yes, I was an adventure time fanboy. RIP my all time favorite cartoon.)

So, When I saw this, I decided to redraw it. Here's my recent redraw-

Another image I found in the folder. I'm pretty sure this is from years later, because the jump in artistic skill is massive. I honestly have no idea how I drew this. I suspect foul play.

And here's just a random thing I drew recently.

did some pixel art of my favorite character designs from persona 3

i think i got better hang of shaping. shading is still pooperoni. i feel like i'm coloring something in instead of bringing it out.
Your pixel art is awesome man! I draw better pixel art when what I'm drawing is big, so I couldn't give you any tips on small chibi/sprite people, but I guess I can give you some advice on shading. (Not that I can tell from your images that you need tips. Your shading already looks great)

This kinda depends on what pixel art program your using, but if your using ones like mine, just use the color darkener and brighter! I just go to the place where I wan't some shading to be, darken 1 pixel till I reach the right level of shadow, and use color picker and color the entire area that needs to be shaded. You can also do the opposite for lightening some areas.

This is kinda obvious advice, but just in case ya need it, it's here.

I mean, like the guy above me said, there's no "right" or "wrong" way to look. My personal opinion is that Face claims are just Face claims. It's when a roleplayer picks a drawing or image of someone to use as a physical description of your character, and since it's your character, I think there's no need for you to contemplate who you use. It matters not if your FC character is confirmed man, women, trans man, trans women or non binary person. All that matters is that character looks like how you envision your OC to look. There's no need to feel like you have to justify yourself.

tl;dr - Your FC is your FC. It doesn't matter who or what your FC is in their respective origin, because your not writing about that character. Your writing about your character. You do you.
