- Coming up with unique descriptors for my characters, so that I don't have to keep referring to them by name in my posts or use "he/she/they" over and over.
- Hornyposting. Even if my character is completely asexual and wholesome, I'll still inject some fanservice.
- Using the word "However" a lot.
- Someday I'll learn how to properly type an em dash. Until then, the minus symbol will do.

I don’t know if staffing peeves belong here, but that moment when someone is apping and they leave it for so long like at least a month long, way beyond the reservation date without any notification from the member. I honestly prefer it when members want to either inform us on the delay etc etc so we can help them accomodate. I understand real life things happen, but I don’t appreciate being left up hung up without any updates especially when we contact the member to make corrections on the submitted app and/or when we check in to see if everything is alright.

I don't do reservations on my site, so the only real drawback when new members ghost is seeing all those interesting-looking wips that will never see the light of day. Taking time to review an app only to then never hear back from the player is annoying, yes, but it's for the best. It's useful to see applications as the "weeding out" phase. If a member can't be bothered to finish their app, chances are they weren't going to commit to the actual RP either.

A yu-gi-oh RP, but it's an adaptation of "season 0" where instead of duel monsters every character has a different game they specialize in. Probably wouldn't be possible to make that concept work, but it's a neat thought experiment.

The fish-man opened a large, wooden chest filled to the brim with golden coins and jewelry, his nonexistent lips parting to unveil a sharp-toothed grin. "Bruh ra ra ra ra! That's a nice treasure!" He remarked with a hearty guffaw. A seagull with a hat flew overhead, dropping a rolled up newspaper, which the carcharhinoid caught in the air without even looking.

0 seconds into a one piece RP and I've invented a new word lmao

The woman couldn't help raising a skeptical eyebrow. The whole setup sounded eerily like the beginning of a serial killer plot. All that was missing was for him to creepily turn the TV on and tell her what niche show they'd have to watch before she was allowed to leave.

Hooray for shoving memes into posts that will be outdated in a few months XD

i'm starting to really appreciate small sites tbh.

the panfan i'm running, if it stays small, will need fewer and fewer restrictions as we go on because i don't have to reserve things for new members if we're not getting new members. excited for it tbh.
Having a smaller memberbase also makes it easier to run events, activity checks, etc. It's also nice being able to memorize all players and characters' names since there is a finite number of them. However, I get extremely nervous thinking what will happen when/if we lose our most active posters and have to find a replacement.

Painful, repressed memories flooded back into her conscious mind like an unstoppable deluge of despair. Even when she shut her eyes tightly, all she could see were abstract images of her ghostly sisters wailing in their death throes. Was there no escaping that unbearable pain?
