Hello, Meridia, is a brand new original animanga fantasy site the hits all your points. We have little lore to get caught up in and our application is short and sweet with no word count requirement so you can get started quickly. As we are in a high fantasy setting, there are various races such as Humans, Elves, Goblins, Beastfolk and Demons, with more planned to release as the site grows. We are stats lite, with no math involved, and used mainly to determine what types of abilities your character possesses. Our Discord is very minimal and we don't require any of our members to join and is used mainly for chatting and tagging.

A fantasy world on the verge of ruin, until a bunch of people are isekai'd into the world upon their death so that the can combat(or aid) the forces of evil. The isekai'd players would be able to level up, gain skills and experience like that in a game while the rest of the world sees that as the unique ability given to the chosen "heroes". ( Think Rising of a Shield Hero. )

An Overlord based RP without the isekai element. Instead the roleplay would focus on the world and the adventurers and factions inside that world. Just like in the manga/anime, the world would still work similar to a video game with magic tiers, martial arts, job classes, quests, and different playable races, all of which would be considered normal. This would scratch that VRMMO itch that I believe some people (including myself) have, without dealing with the whole, 'I'm stuck in a video game' trope, which would free players to develop their characters more and actually be a part of the world instead of just visitors in it.

I do like the webpages as its far more customizable, but I also like the fact that with the info in the posts, any moderator can edit and change the info without having to get access the the admin cp. This really helps, especially when getting a site off the ground, where you need to change some info around, but it also allows it to be searchable using the search feature on the forum. I can never decide. But everyone here has brought up good points.

Thinking about a site that provides a platform for many small scale roleplays to take place on the same board. Mostly just small intimate roleplays to build community and to allow those who have the RP itch to get in there and write and not have to dedicate a massive amount of time or energy in a site wide roleplay

Also, in regards to it being difficult to remember everyone's please tags, I personally operate on a level where I always tag common content warnings and discuss the please tags of anyone directly involved in the thread with them, but don't sweat keeping in mind every member on the site. Like, I know people do read threads they're not in, but it's really sort of impossible to keep track of on especially large sites when not everyone does read threads they're not in. If that makes sense.
To go along with what Beetle was saying. That's why I tend to make my posting templates, whether they are for personal use or a default template for use on my forum, have a "Please Avoid" section. Though typically if i am running the site, the Mini profiles usually have that info as well. This makes it astronomically easier to keep track of everyone's triggers and preferences with very little effort. It also helps when you have a roleplayer claiming "they didnt know" when its right there in the post.

I use "Please Avoid" instead of using the term "triggers". I agree with most of the others here. I feel like using something as serious as the word "trigger", which usually elicits negative emotions, too liberally would undermine the seriousness of the situation. I feel as using the term "Please Avoid" encompasses more topics and includes more people. I would never consider something I am uncomfortable roleplaying as a trigger per se, as it wouldn't effect me like someone who it may be a trigger for, but I have no problem asking people to avoid the subject with me entirely if the term "Please Avoid" is used. After all, the comfort of roleplayers is the whole reason we have such terms to begin with.

I've been wanting to join a One Piece roleplay for a while now, but there aren't really all that many so I thought it could be fun to make one.

Obviously it would be an animanga rp, but would want to make sure it takes place in an alternate universe with only original characters. To make sure we don't have just Luffy or Law copies running around, all the devil fruits will be original as well. I was thinking of having it be stats-light with abilities ranked by class (A Class being stronger than B Class) and being able to rank up by achieving certain milestones (Post Count, Participating in events, etc). The higher your ability rank is the more powerful your powers and the more abilities your powers get. The ranking system will extend to non-power users as well allowing them more techniques and access to stronger haki.

The ranking system would only be a guide to go by for roleplaying reasons as everything would be determined upon roleplaying and not stats. It would just prove more difficult for a C Rank to beat a B Rank if the quality of the RP is about the same as the B Rank would have more utility, but definitely not impossible.

Players will be able to choose from a number of different races such as human (with variants for things like the long arm tribe), giant, fishman, android, beastman, and many more, each with their own unique roleplaying traits. Players can also choose to eat a random devil fruit at character creation (based on a dice roll) and build their characters around the theme of that fruit. Or they can join as a non devil fruit user and have the option to discover fruits through roleplay to allow for better player agency.

As far as groups we would have pirates, marines, civilians, bounty hunters, etc. All with their own ranks as well. These ranks, such as Admirals for the Navy and Warlords for pirates, will be canon positions and monitored closely as they will start out powerful, though a player may rise to these ranks on their own through roleplaying.

I have so many other ideas, but this is the general gist of it. If I garner enough interest in this I would love to see this up and running before summer's end.
