I took a little piece of your heart, don't hate me.
currently watching the glory / (the) pyramid game and on the edge of my seat constantly
before this it was yellowjackets...and the legend of mi yue (which isn't as good as the legend of zhen huan so i am barely watching it tbh but...)

hey im actually here for weird food and comedy that actually works but whatโ€™s that last episode

imo the best parts of dungeon meshi are the ones that don't actually involve food or comedy (e.g. all the elf and political stuff that's coming up next cour i think)

How do people handle their thread limits? Especially with threads that feel like a dead end?

The obvious answer is just to be honest, I know, but aaaa I always feel bad because I'm usually in need of threads... yet feel like I need to just preemptively archive ones that seem like the shared responsibility of being active was just not there.
i usually just ask if they want to archive the thread tbh. or if itโ€™s been 2-3 weeks then iโ€™ll go, โ€œthis thread was made last month and iโ€™m pruning, do you mind if i archive,โ€ or whatever

...a lot. i love making hovers/playing in photoshop.

sometimes i'll change eye color (which is easy), hair color (which is way tougher -- normally i *just nudge the hue a little, e.g. making orange look red), mess with the tilt of the character, add in a bg if the pic was og whitespace, etc.

feels like i've missed forum rp's "peak" sometimes tbh. i joined the community pretty late (2018...2019? i can't exactly remember)

That said, you cannot compare reposting art without credit (wrong) to paying money into a company (that includes using a 'free' app/service with ads) that is stealing (actually stealing)
well tbf it's not stealing anything; read up on how the tech works. i encourage everyone who's anti-ai to do this, here's an article hitting the basics.

in summary though, if you general you don't want to read the article, and you don't want to do your own research: ai art tools mimic what people do. it (whatever model is being used) gets a prompt, checks its "memory" (training set), and tries to generate something that fits the prompt.

it's like if i told you to draw mickey mouse -- you're going to think of mickey mouse and draw him. are you stealing from walt disney? is it a moral wrong that you've seen mickey mouse before? of course not. same thing with ai
