shadow of the erdtree is one of the only things i'm excited for gaming-wise (i've given up on silksong and bloodborne pc and vtmb:2 and i'm starting to lose hope for a new deltarune chapter too)

well at risk of sounding bitter, talking it out doesn't always work :( . sometimes you dm someone (an admin, another player, whomever) about something and it:

1. gets turned back on you. the person you address with your problem (as they're the source) goes on and on about how sad and anxious you're making them feel by having a problem
2. gets dismissed/completely ignored. you tell staff about [x] member and [x] member ends up getting free reign to do whatever they want, because you're over-reacting, or whatever

if people only speak up after the site's dead and gone, that may be due to past experiences clamming them up. i'm kind of here myself. better to block and move on and maybe go "damn, that was kinda crazy huh" than stress myself out trying to wrangle internet strangers into having empathy

1. i don't want to do too much. at most i just want to roll a number, see if that number is higher than the number i need to clear, and add on any appropriate modifiers

2. i really dislike it when stat improvement is based on post count, e.g. you post a hundred times you buy an item from the store wahoo yipee your stat bumps up. would be better if power boosts were linked to narrative arcs or even actual training threads imo

Y'know, she's like.

Okay. So, when he was way younger, a six y/o with scrappy knees and a cleaner mouth than he's got now, he had these fireworks. You'd light up one end, throw it to the asphalt, and watch it bloom against the pavement, like a flower where each petal was a constellation of embers, spinning wild and untouchable at your feet.

She's kinda like that. Each movement, each word: it sets off a spark.

+ the ones that remain are pretty dead. i counted maybe ten rps last time i went crawling but few of them had more than like, 5 active people

to avoid double posting: i miss sites being big enough to drown in :/
