1. graduated uni 🥳 took a while because covid fucked me over real bad but… *jazz hands* feels good to be Done
2. started driving lessons…hopefully i’ll take the test next spring
3. found a cool new community to haunt.
4. got a nice job that … wasn’t related to my major (cs) but still pretty fun
5. grew more comfortable with my writing (due to #3)

oh bonus: i managed to score a screen tablet in a raffle. art gains incoming (i hope)

(re)playing cult sim because the writing is excellent. also alice: madness returns because i never actually played it as a kid
i also had a lot of fun with yuppie psycho’s upd8 + inscryption…earlier this year

- sometimes-rarely a good rp server will randomly @everyone after like a year and go "we have a new project!!" and that's active for a month or two then it dies
- dumpster diving on discord.gg or whatever 
- small and ancient lj/dw comms (mostly for 1x1)
- cherp (also for 1x1s)

...typing this out has made me realize how many of my rp sources have dried up orz

tbh i don't read apps unless i'm:

a.) wanting to thread/plot with the character
b.) the app writer wants to thread/plot with me
c.) the character looks litty from the threads i've lurked & i'm just genuinely curious

in case b.) if they've written a Novel it might take a while for me to get back to them...like, yeah, this is a reading hobby, but sometimes the contents of an app just aren't fun to read! i put books down when they aren't fun, i feel the same way about apps. the character can be Incredible and Totally to my taste and in every thread they are characterized so godly-well that i'm just obsessed but then the app is like, "here are 100k words of my blorbo stubbing their toe in varying situations!" and i'm going "where the fuck is the tl;dr??"

i'm saying this as someone who has probably (definitely? definitely.) written apps that aren't fun to parse. like i love love Love my purple poetic metaphorical prose that's just vaguely aesthetic + writing in second person + i've sometimes drafted very long, rambling apps when i get deep into a muse. that's fine. and i'd never fault someone for not wanting to read it, or just wanting me to outright tell them what's what.
