i think both ai art and writing are fine tbh. we (generally) don't get mad at people for imitating an artist's style or emulating the prose of an author they like. i think most people in the rpc have flat-out swiped sentences and theming and character archetypes they enjoyed for rp. why's it suddenly "bad" if the swiping comes from a program.

like yes i get that it's iffy due to the speed and lack of effort but it isn't morally wrong... it's about as morally wrong as me going "richard siken is cool" and aping his shit (i do this all the time) or thinking "hmm i think this artist uses color well" and coloring my work like they do

more recently (2022?) maybe......200 posts? later than that, 140ish (i'm pulling these numbers out of my ass). otherwise i tend to get to ~30-ish posts before i realize the site isn't for me/something otherwise comes up and i bounce

i've wanted to write a big bad's Baddest, most Trusting, most Long-suffering (but still) Loyal peon for a while now but it's rare to see villains in the rpc (and whenever they've popped up my peon-hood did not last for x y z reason)

hmm so tbh i hope rules that ban under 18 fcs don't catch on.....i got told twice last year that i couldn't use a vocaloid character (possibly because vocaloids are forever 14-16) and it grinded my gears.

i also dislike rules that are all "well this character has to LOOK like an adult for you to use them !" because that is a.) vague as hell (i've seen people say something like this it's just rin kagamine resembles a child while using artwork that was basically that but with like, defined shading around the nose bridge or w/e -- and to me it's just an anime character) b.) a bit annoying as someone regularly id'd still despite being 24. young-looking adults are still adults....!

why not say 'no loli fcs' or something idk

I'll reuse archetypes and/or moral standpoints -- I loooove playing lawful [neutral/evil] bootlicker bigots -- but I try not to outright create the same character again, mostly because I like fitting a site's lore as strictly as possible.

If I do end up reusing a character, it's mostly because I think the site's plot-less enough to justify it (SoL). Or the og concept is so simple (e.g. assassin with low morality) that it could fit just about anywhere with some tweaking.

- atlantis, but in the context of it being beneath the local river
- spontaneous combustion

empresses in the palace. it's pretty impressive how insulting the characters can be while sounding perfectly polite
it's making me want to rp court/harem intrigue
