I've actually come into your interest check... and I asked if races are rigidly defined. How would I be tweaking my character idea to fit the existing races?

I like a lot of Pokemon and tend to switch around which I like the most at the moment, but Vaporeon is a mainstay of my lists. Swadloon too is the ultimate mascot.

I have a soft spot for Water and Bug types, although like I said, I like too many Pokemon and I'm not even sure if the majority of my favorites fall under those types >.>

Modern stuff isn't really my thing, but with the sites I've been looking into not fitting or stalled... I might as well look for alternatives.

Are races very rigidly defined? Could someone be of a unique sort of race or something?

Could a character's backstory establish something about the setting's past?

Mrm... any more details? How free is character creation? Are characters limited only to certain species and abilities? Could backstories add lore and history to the site? Could players add lore and history to the site?

I'm usually open to most fantasy concepts but specially if I could run my character ideas in them, which tend to be blocked or limited by the setting's strictures...

Ah, you're asking? Welp. An... amnesiac spirit unknowingly masquerading as a dead water magician? I actually have the details in a wanted ad thread linked in my signature. I guess if race and abilities could be handled, the last hoop is finding a place and time in the history of the setting to put his backstory in... some sort of uprising in the distant past?

Well, besides that, freedom with abilities will probably allow me to field my swordswoman who telekinetically wields a load of swords, a claw-and-shield cat (Leonin?) paladin or templar, and other zany things I've thought up through the years XD
