Entertainment is a cutthroat business—always was and always will be. Sometimes, though, it is literal. Murders happen everyday, though oftentimes even high profile crimes are overshadowed in the news by the glamor of the hottest celebrities on the block.

This is, of course, intentional.

Who would guess that your favorite pop star was the very one that stopped a war between crime syndicates? The rising actor that starred in the newest blockbuster movie, the one that collected evidence of a politician’s corruption?

And even if you did, would you care?

That’s what Omen Entertainment counts on. Little is known about the entertainment company behind these stars, save for their deep pockets and insane eye for talent. In the public eye, their eggs are in all kinds of baskets for the entertainment of the people. Behind the scenes, their agents work to make the image of the utopian world they dream of a reality.

Where there is shadow, there will be light to shine. As long as there is crime, Omen Entertainment will continue to exist. And so the struggle continues.

lantern rite:
a sci-fantasy roleplay inspired by xianxia and xuanhuan


Immortality has been achieved, as has spaceflight. With terraforming technology, almost all planets in this solar system have become inhabitable. With a central government, there have been no large conflicts. What, then, does one seek?

Many pursue mastery over qi, a mystical energy that allows one to perform supernatural feats. They join sects to learn their inherited techniques for that purpose. But what else is there to life? The answer for many: companionship and love.

One of Planet Nimbus’ five moons, Harmony, is known in the solar system as the Loveseeker’s Moon. Famous for being a central location for weddings and meetings, it is also home to the Wishing Tree, where soulmates are said to have their fates intertwined.

Amidst the joyful nature of the moon, an unexpected tragedy has occurred: a murder. This unprecedented event has prompted a shutdown of interplanetary travel. No one is able to enter or leave the moon until the culprit is caught.

Unions happen all the time, and surely this is not the first murder that has happened on Harmony, so why is this crime being treated so seriously? Despite the inconvenience of not being able to return home, there is little to be upset about. After all, your accommodations are being generously paid for, and the moon has plenty of amenities.

Whether you join the investigation team, continue to search for your soulmate, or otherwise take advantage of your free stay, you will return home. The question is: when?


hi it's me back with another idea. i'm not off my sci-fi/sci-fantasy kick, but the urge for something inspired by asian fantasy has manifested itself and the obvious answer was to combine the two.

thus far, most of the skin and lore is complete. i'm looking to gauge interest in the concept, especially since the current idea is to let members create their own lore, from groups to abilities, if they would like to. the site will tentatively be semi-private, though this is subject to change.

inspired by honkai: star rail


Plot: The Starblaze’s voyage through the stars is leisurely and inquiring, seeking to catalog the universe it drifts through. Though large enough to be considered a small planet of its own, the ship can freely move through space, largely independent of gravity. It developed biomes and cultures that freely interacted with each other. All was well, until calamity struck. A devastating breach of the hull destroyed the earth biome, leaving refugees in its wake. And as if that wasn’t enough, hostile creatures called the vacant sought to overrun the ship and render it inhospitable to its current residents. Before the earth biome was sealed off, the vacant were able to invade the other biomes. Can the ship’s residents reclaim their home from their non-sapient invaders?

Progress: Initial lore written, undergoing refinement. Skin 60% done. Ongoing staff search.

Bonus: An entirely optional, comprehensive combat system for those seeking a more robust roleplay experience with the freedom to create unique abilities.

Update to the above:

Looking for additional staff: missions facilitators and additional staff members!

Mission facilitators’ duties will primarily be designing and running the optional quests using the combat system where applicable. They can also help with staff duties, detailed below.

Staff members’ duties will be helping with general upkeep, including accepting apps, answering member questions, and lore expansion.

Is there any interest in a sci-fi concept with an optional combat system? The setting is a large ship that has been invaded by strange creatures that ship residents have to repel. Overall inspiration is from honkai: star rail and face claims will be animanga.

hello! i admit to having brain rot from hsr (honkai: star rail) and i once again have the urge to code/build a (jcink) site. unfortunately, i’m not a particularly gifted lore builder and i’m searching for someone willing to help me develop a site! i can handle the skin and codes pretty well (though pointers and help are always welcome!) but i’m looking for someone(s) to help flesh the world out and help with general admining. this is what i’ve thought of so far:

What caused the hull breach after so many peaceful years? And what are these invaders’ goals?
