i think it'd be fun to have a slice of life setting a bit like the sitcom ghosts? have an old bed and breakfast/boarding house and folks can either play living residents from the modern day trying to figure out how to coexist with the paranormal or deceased ones trying to figure out how to move on.

I think the "issue" in doing so lies in the fact that a lot of people don't deviate their character's appearance from their FCs much, in my experience? Like, if you asked someone what their character looks like, they'd say "it's goku" instead of "it's goku, except his eyes are dark green, his brows are a little thinner, and his jaw is more square". if everyone did that in a spot where fcs weren't exclusive, it'd turn into an osomatsu situation pretty quickly. 

...though I personally would find it extremely funny if there was six unrelated gokus hanging around. the mix-ups could be a good basis for initial threads if you had characters who knew one for backstory/affiliation reasons but had no reason to meet the others.

I think it's certainly possible to have both the journey and the slice of life all in one! Only thing is, you'd have to have a significant enough member base to support that. Moderators generally cater to the majority, and people role playing slice of life probably wouldn't get fed much of anything in terms of site-wide events the way people playing as traveling trainers and coordinators are. But to cater to both, you'd have to have a pretty significantly sized staff team, since, well. Most Pokemon site mechanics can get super cumbersome if you don't give much leeway, and have the potential to fall pray to exploitation by those people who are there for the game aspects over socially interacting much with anyone if you do.

And by that point, it's like frying burgers in a coffee shop. if you have to do all the legwork to feed yourself while staff is serving up content catering to the main demographic... sure, some other people might see what you're doing and want in on it, but unless one of the baristas comes out as a fry cook and serves you too, you were probably just better off going to a diner somewhere. 

(also pokemon conquest is baller and I'm frankly shocked that I haven't seen any sites based on it tbh)

Hello! o/ Thanks for having a gander. I'm fresh off a previous group that completed its plot line, and I'm back in that waffle-y state of looking for somewhere to sell my soul call home for another little while. I've tried scoping a few places, but nothing really felt like it fit... So, here we are. 

what I can offer you;

- I can do some basic graphic design!
- I draw stuff. Not, like, well or anything, but if you've ever dreamed of having bad fan art of your OC, now's your chance.
- I have 10+ years of experience as a role player!
- I'm super character growth and dynamic focused, and have half a dozen development questions falling out of my pockets like small change at any given moment.
- Once I'm really sold on something, I'm stupid active both in and out of character. 

what I'm looking for;

- smaller/newer sites! I get lost trying to follow the ones that are like a year or so in with 50+ members. I like the small town feel.
- sites with a slightly older (18+) user base! it doesn't matter if it's nsfw or not, I just wanna hang out with other adults. 
- animanga fcs! I mean, if it's REALLY good, I'll dip into rpfcs, but I am not hugely comfortable with them... 
- original characters! my brain isn't large enough to play canon anything. 
- LGBT+ friendly! speaks for itself lol
- less WC focus! i wanna write until I'm done, man. I promise, I'll always give you something to work with.

& one of these three general topics, please!

- Something village/small town/Stardew Valley-esque. (It's hard to find one that isn't RPFC focused...)
- Pokemon (statless, preferably. my brain is small.)
- Just something chill & cute & slice of life in general please my character jump started a violent revolt last role play I want to rest
