what do you want to know? my height, hobbies, quirks, the color of my underwear?
okay so i mostly lied, i only started watching more again this morning, and i can feel this one is gonna take a while too when we started it off to the confused screaming of hearing "edward elric coughing into my ears" and have been rolling from there, but this is the punishment i have chosen for myself, so here we are-
in all seriousness though! i am still so very feral for wanting to get a group together to aggressively fix vampire knight the way the creators were too cowardly to do, so. uh. site owners, please search your hearts for if you think you can give it a home, and casual vampire romance enjoyers, may i interest you in an older series with mega cool world-building that gets largely neglected for us to steal to play out some really cool characters.
original post under the spoiler
okay, look, i understand that like no one knows what the heck vampire knight is in this the year of our lord 2024 (and/or that whatever knowledge the majority of people here have is simply from me periodically yelling about it whenever the brainrot takes over again), but listen, it's called i am finally going to go fully feral for this series and actually try to get a group together so we can all have a good time rolling around in this dumpster i call home.
for those of you who don't know what this series is - vampire knight's overarching premise revolves around a school where the day class are all humans, the night class are all vampire nobility/royalty, and the two prefects are trying to keep the night class' secret to help the two races live together in harmony while the actual series plot revolves around the story of yuuki cross being torn between the pureblood vampire prince kaname kuran (with all of his shady vampire politics) and former vampire hunter turning into a vampire zero kiryuu (with all of his traumas and prejudices). it's a twilight-esque series, so a lot of the world-building and character development gets thrown out in favor of ~young adult teen vampire romance novel~ shenanigans, which is a genuine shame because so much of the original premise, the overarching world-building, and individual characters have so much missed potential as a result, but i mean, hey, that's what rp is for.
it's an old series originally from like... the late 00s, early 10s, so you can definitely read the series online (there's an ongoing sequel series that's still being updated) and i think there's a couple seasons of anime for it that wraps up right where the problematic stuff gets revealed - but i would be remiss to not mention the gigantic content warning for canonical sibling incest. i don't approve of it (in fact, i want to aggressively pretend it never happened for rp purposes), but i don't control that it exists in canon, so if you aren't down for that, please don't engage with it.
that introduction out of the way - i'm genuinely feral for what this series could have been. i desperately wish we could have seen more of the world-building (like the vampire senate and how that interacted with pureblood society or the hunters association) and i constantly think the characters were done huge disservices (literally every single night class character deserved so much more exposition and depth and so did the headmaster and zero's teacher and even kaname + zero just got shafted for development if it furthered the love triangle). and that's before you get into that i think the a-plot romance of "kaname is in love with zero but zero thinks he's trying to hit on yuuki and kaname can't say a word about it since it would ruin every single thing he's done for the past decade" and b-plot romance of "takuma's grandfather is okay with him being gay if it's to vampire royalty but unfortunately he is gay for the wrong royal" is just much more fun than the twilight love triangle we get.
so. i want to write that. which is where this search gets messy.
to cut to the chase - i can't write vampire knight stuff without a group to write it with. but i also can't find a group to write it with if i don't have a place to write it with them on. but it's hard to pick a place to write it on if i don't know where the group would actually want to go write it on. so. i turn it over to you, pixel community, to help me with this brainrot that has me so terminally infected that i once literally turned in an entire two hour "remake" of romeo and juliet using re-voiced-over anime from it + that i accidentally wrote furry smut for at seventeen.
staffers, if you know your community can accommodate this and have a place for the majority of the vampire knight cast to exist and aggressively ignore the canon problematic stuff with as much power as we physically possibly can, pitch it to me. i'm most comfortable with jcink and discord as platforms, but i'm willing to go back to proboards or even try out a new platform for this.
casual pixelers, if you're still with me and either already on board with this chaotic ramble or interested enough to let me continue to ramble about this series to you while you work your way through it, hit me up. i've played kaname before and am most comfortable with him, but i've dabbled a lil bit with senri shiki as well and i'd honestly be willing to give most of the rest of the main cast a shot if everything else filled up. if we can't find a site, i'm not opposed to just throwing a private discord server together and going from there (seriously, the forum feature makes discord work nearly the same as a site, it's so nice), but i'm fully down to poll the room before we commit to anything.
i just. i really really really am craving rping vampire knight stuff and would literally be over the moon to just get a group together to do it with ;;;;;;;;
