ok i haven't gone down the rabbit hole (idk if anything weird got exposed from character profiles) but i just wanna say: creatures inc is amazing. it gets talked about how pokemon isn't that great bc the gameplay has been disappointing (it's true), and how some pokemon are just uncreative and lame (like maushold AND THEY'RE WRONG FIGHT ME) but as someone who's always looked around for monster/creature collecting games - and also a fan of digimon - pokemon designs are top tier. top tier as in they're so recognizable. you remember them. you can associate details and lore from their designs somehow. this also got brought up with palworld when people were saying palworld had cooler designs and... cooler doesn't mean it's more iconic. personal opinion time (i'm no artist or anything and i don't claim to have a good eye for art) but palworld lack "logic" in their designs and feels more like slapping together monster assets to make something. 

gamefreak is great. nintendo is a disappointment. also i think digimon and even ygo have been the only ones who have really put out distinct monster designs. i'd like to think there's a reason they really succeeded and become memorable. 

i gush about gamefreak but i actually love digimon and ygo designs more lmfao BUT!! pokemon to me are more = animals. digimon and ygo = fantasy monsters, even if they're not fantasy-themed.

palworld has always looked like the korean MMO version of pokemon and i'll stand by that. they're sleek, pretty, and ultimately lack any form of real identity. the problem with a lot of pokemon clones is that they're made by people whose personal taste in pokemon extends only to "pretty" Pokemon. like the reason yugioh and digimon and pokemon stand out is that they have monsters that are just weird or goofy or ugly. like. looking at palworld is like looking at the vision of someone who thinks Garbodor is a bad design.

maan what is wrong with my heart i started trump and finished season 1 but it was too painful lmaao i literally couldnt continue. I looked up spoilers but it just made things worse and the only thing that helped was reading the literal ylast chaptrt ending to make me happy

I thought it was gonna be underprin where i enjoy my dad and son relationship except it was all pain my old heart cant deal with anymore 🛌 also i think selective memory loss angst has to be one of my triggers. I cant deal with story arcs like that. I dont care about amnesia plots but selective memory loss where the one most important to you is erased? Just killing me 😭😭

Edit: wait actually i think i just dont like child abandonment with the child chasing after their parent who arent necessarily negligent but were forced to due to circumstances. I was thinking underprin as the orher example and ya it hurts. I dont like abandoned kids who has good parents bc having good memories with ur parents make things worse… and makes u question everything.. (i promise this isnt projecting my backstory aint that tragic)
