Hey, want to join my gay hivemind?
Combining my desire for a Non-HP magic school with my hankering for an old school sparkle animal roleplay by making a magical school in a fantasy world where every character has a sparkle animal form(or normal animal form point is freedom to make your animal form as weird as you want!), characters can decide if they wanna just spend 24/7 in their anima form, human form, or both I don't care dogs can hold a pencil in this word!

Illustrated face claims, written descriptions if you don't have any images, art encouraged(but also traditional face claims)

IDK, just something lighthearted that's picking at me

An immersive world, chain reaction site with very little systematic progression where every decision you make matters because you only have control over your own actions.

As stated before, you as the player control nothing (including the environment) but your character; but the gamemaster(s) act as the world around you and for any action you take, there is an unsure outcome. (Example: Your character goes into the store, but rather than having a whole scenario planned out of who this character is going to talk to in the store and how the conversation is going to go, the gamemaster would decide who or what you encounter when your character walks inside the store - whether that be a robbery happening, or a stray dog that your character would be interested in making their pet, or the store owner asking you if you need a job.)

By chain reaction, I mean similar to a butterfly effect. In this particular RP it'd most likely be a medieval fantasy setting with maybe one or two modern locations, and what you do could affect things for you or others down the line. Maybe you kill a reptilian but looking from behind a tree was the reptilian's son who now has your face ingrained in his memory and he is vowing to kill you in 10 years. But not just negative outcomes, positive ones as well: you save a woman from being attacked by bandits in the forest and it turns out she was a runaway princess; now forever grateful to you she confuses those feelings for love and wants to marry you and if you accept you become the prince of a powerful kingdom with special privileges.

What kind of privileges? (and why am I elaborating on this example) Well, although you start off with only control of your character, as you progress in this roleplay, you could earn more characters to control. Now that you are a prince of this powerful kingdom, you are allowed to give orders to the knights. You as the player now unlock the ooc privileges of creating some of the knights and their personalities. Now you have control over your personal character and the knight ones. Because there is very little systematic progression, you could go from a peasant to a knight commander - when you would normally have to grind through several ranks, missions, word counts, experience points, etc. - if you were to capitalize on the right opportunity.

At the highest level, assuming you were to triumph over every obstacle and capitalize on every opportunity that the gamemaster(s) threw at you, you would be able to control almost a whole kingdom. Getting to that level would be no easy task though, but hypothetically it would be possible. And as I mentioned before, what you do could affect others too, but not just a few, sometimes the whole world depending on what course of action you choose to take. With this new kingdom do you want to start a world war to initiate a one world order? Or do you want to pour your resources into developing technology that could possibly upgrade the whole world...or destroy it?

An example of one of the little systematic progression the site would have would be one's skill in doing certain things whether that be cooking or wielding a sword. That's where things like word count and experience points would come into play.

Above all else though, the site's main goal would be for the overall fun of the players. We would allow the freedom for players do these things to an extent. Anything that would create an unfun experience for majority of the members would last shortly if come to fruition at all. Just clarifying incase anyone reading would get intimidated by the extremely low possibility of world destruction.

If you like the sound of an unplanned, unpredictable, roleplay adventure than can take the craziest twists and turns, then give this post a like, message me, or reply. Depending on how much interest this receives, I will expand on it more in its own thread.

This system seems to masterfully reward the player for actually rping and doing things, if put into play. I'm really excited to see something like this, just worried about all the work it'd take to keep up with every character.

Also I'd really like to see more stats/dnd aspects since it sounds like it goes that route already coughcough even if it's just for hoes who like seeing number progression/grind like me on the side

my only concern about a site like that is how much work goes into it, unless anyone can be a game master.

this as fuck. maybe the system would allow admins/staff to regulate major events whereas members can dm/gm their own threads to contribute to the main plot

i.e: the kingdom of x is overrun by kingdom y

members feed threads pertaining to either side, letting admins/staff determine what happens ultimately and there could be site-wide events that contribute to the main world

A fantasy world on the verge of ruin, until a bunch of people are isekai'd into the world upon their death so that the can combat(or aid) the forces of evil. The isekai'd players would be able to level up, gain skills and experience like that in a game while the rest of the world sees that as the unique ability given to the chosen "heroes". ( Think Rising of a Shield Hero. )

probably not doing it but:

Legends Zygarde.

Set after AZ builds the great weapon and the rebuilding of Kalos and Galar, the survivors of the great war, and the aftermath of *so much fucking death*. People who want to continue the war, blaming either side for the horrors that AZ inflicted. People who seek power. People who seek peace. All can be played in the equivalent of war-torn Medieval France. Galar and Paldea are allowed to be mentioned *as NPCs*.

Pokemon won't be limited to anything but reasonable Pokemon ownership. Pokemon were used as weapons and companions and livestock during the time of AZ, according to Kalos lore, but Pokeballs and Pokemon Centers don't exist, so Pokemon battling as a sport is not necessarily safe or regulated, and Pokemon training in the modern sense is not necessarily practical. Basically, your average character might have a Mudsdale that plows the fields, or a herd of Wooloo and some dog Pokemon to herd them, but they wouldn't have a bunch of trained, super strong Pokemon, and typically only the wealthy or power-hungry would own those.

Pokemon from Galar, Paldea, or Kalos are allowed if you can explain why your character has them and how they care for them (not Legendary or Paradox, obvsly, but everything else is fair game; also like, it's not super strict. a peasant would more likely have a bagon while a landed noble could have a salamence); Pokemon from Outside These Regions will be allowed as shop items, with possibly freebies for characters from Other Regions (with the reminder that pokeballs do not exist and neither does modern technology, so travel is limited; you might not be able to bring your Wailord from Hoenn). Not sure if I'll allow Isekai or Ancestor characters (perhaps one isekai or ancestor character free, with extras being unlocked thru posting), but they'd be limited to Paldea, Galar, and Kalos characters. Shop will be loose, mostly for buying "extra special features" and the only way to earn points is thru posting; specific kinds of posting will not be rewarded, so you can really just play it how you want.

Probably not going to do unique face claims ever again, as a warning. You're allowed to use face claims, but you're not allowed to say other members aren't allowed to use designs you don't own.

A battle royale/dungeon crawler type deal for squads of 2-4 characters that are compelled to battle it out in a race to the finish line type situation. No idea on the details of the setting, but it would maybe be a hunger-games style battlegrounds or naruto's chuunin exam arc forest of death type deal. Maybe a low-tech fantasy thing or whatever, wouldn't super duper matter. Lore details are a bit more important. Will be something along the lines of some kind of treasure hunt for some magical goblet or what have you. Maybe something like in Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic where these heavenly towers spawn all over the world so bands of people from all over the world enter into one in the hope of reaching the treasure and ascending or getting ultra-mega rich or whatever. Maybe there's a djinn that grants wishes at the end. Backstory would be super simple: the first dungeon got cleared and the winners had really good stuff happen to them so now everybody wants in. So the next dungeon/tower/whatever arrives and everyone and their mother tries to race to the finish line. Eventually the first treasure gets found and the whole thing would reset and move on to the next tower/dungeon/whatever.

Idk I'm just spitballing. Kind of got inspired by multiplayer rpg's like Borderlands/Tiny Tina's Wonderland and other 4p vidya like Vermintide as well. Might just be that though, a borderlands inspired site where people hop from one planet to the next trying to be the first ones in the vault. So there'd be high-tech but also space magic and everyone could have a unique character ability and a whole lotta weapons. But maybe it could also fit into a fantasy style universe where people mostly use swords n bows. Idk T_T

Only thing I'm not a huge fan of is getting isekai'd/panfandom'd into an alternate universe so that's not something I envision working here. Not that I envision this working hehe

As I wait for my idea to garner more possible support, I'll drop this idea here too.

There are a countless amount of Naruto RP sites but most of them now seem to focus on the things introduced in Shippuden/Boruto. But in the beginning of Naruto, the aesthetic was quite different and I liked it way more. What about a site that focuses on the aesthetic of the early part of Naruto with very little concepts from Shippuden/Boruto?

I don't know if anyone here watches Dimension 20 but Ive always loved them and I've been loving a court of fey and flowers, inspired by that how about an rp set in a world of fae, yokai, and other such creatures that deal with not only long lifespans but a life of shifting dynamics as they try to bring themselves into a higher social standing. There'd be traditional rp elements where people could battle if they want but there'd also be a focus on the political, cultural, or ect fields of life.

Long story short: Rp about court/nation politics between spiritual races with focus on raising position in society in multiple ways (With fun stuff like Archfey, Daiyokai, champions, or ect)

If there's any interest in this rp which would have esthetics from druidic gaelic, feudal japan, and even more as the world gets built I can come up with a bigger interest check with more lore. (Also looking for people to work with if anyone wants to be apart of it in any way)
fucking YES

i've JUST finished watching a  court of fey and flowers and i absolutely LOVE the court intrigue and politics. the letters, rumour, scandals, and reputation system are AMAZING and give me life
Still interested in doing this, just looking for people who might join/help develop

Story driven AU Demon Slayer RP that starts just before the rise of demons and has more of an emphasis on Japanese culture/lifestyle and less of a tunnel vision on demons as if demons were the only event happening in the world. It would be set in the Kamakura Period (1185 - 1333).

ok so i'm really thinking on this now and:

- pokemon shifters/anthros/gijinka, the idea is that this is an alternate universe where pokemon and humans merged souls and now aren't different at all
- set in Roaring 20s Unova
- focus on entertainment industries, crime rings, cops, maybe prohibition, wealth inequality, etc. generally just Roaring 20s fun.
- site canons are Legendaries. each one is named, designed custom for the site (no FCs, they will have custom appearances), given a role to play, and can't be taken off the site unless a certain post count is made. probably just starting with the Unova legends: Genesect, Meloetta, Victini, the genies, the muskedeers, Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom.
- characters can either be mostly human or mostly pokemon with anthro qualities, to allow people who don't wanna design their own characters to easily use FCs.
- characters will have powers, likely limited by what moves their base pokemon can learn. possibly a system for learning TM/HM moves. We'll see.
- characters will have one species, but can have "hybrid traits" like those variations that trended for a while. shiny variations also unlimited.
- other than legends, no limits on pokemon species. I don't care if we end up with 3000 eevee gijinka.
- as for gender-limited pokemon, it's allowed but I will be monitoring for Weird Fetishistic Shit. like idc if your Gallade gijinka is a trans woman if you're not fuckin weird about it.

if anyone wants to really help me hammer out a system, let me know. I really want a site based around designing really cool characters but isn't an animal RP, if that makes sense.
