Okay, but no joke, my biggest admin pet peeve:
I wish I had enough time to thread with all of my members. All of them. But I just. Don't. I don't want anyone to leave one of my RPs feeling as if they were ignored - even just having one person to thread with can help open the door to more activity, and being less shy about getting more threads. It really can make all the difference! If I, as the head admin, can make sure that at least I've threaded with someone, that means they have at least one thread on the site.
Unfortunately, unless there are only, like, six people on site, that's just... not feasible. Why can't I thread with everyone, aaaaaah, I just want everyone to feel happy and welcome.
I feel this down to my bones on an existential level... and am currently drowning in 30-thread hell for this very reason.
And I can't control myself. At all.
I'm sure that one day, the rp gods will come down to smite me for this.

Bickering about things that just do not matter. Mainly in the chat box even though the rules clearly say ... oh wait they probably didn't read them. /Sigh/ It seems silly but I always wonder if that affects a sites reputation. The bickering/drama I mean.
most sites have the option of graphic stores from users, it's hard work and takes a long a long time depending on what kind of graphic a person wants. Not sure if this bothers anyone else but I've seen it a lot, people being ungrateful and underwhelmed by what they are given.
also I totally agree with pharaoh leap!! I wish I could thread with everyone as well, even when I am just a member and not an admin, I wish I could thread with everyone. Having been left out before, I always pile myself up with threads XDXD #thenicelife
which leads me to another issue, I understand we make friend groups on role-play but I hate it when new members are not welcomed into the gang or at least even given a thought. I see it a lot in rules so it must happen often, been through it before too .. I wish I understood XD but I'm nice so I probably won't.

the one thing i dislike the most...is when someone doesn't follow the rule i have set (which is to register with your characters first name) and then becomes all bitchy when you pend there app because of it. i also dislike when someone joins the site and then instantly deletes themselves, like bro...YOU JUST WASTED A NUMBER! i also hate "is this site active?" questions, especially for a new site or even a site that has members constantly online and chatting in the shoutbox.

Just in general fussy and picky behaviour about things on the site, it's so tiresome to try and deal with.

When members show controlling behavior or complain/demand rather than politely suggest towards a change. These are mostly arguments that I consider have no compelling evidence towards change and are rather changes the single member desires because it specifically hinders them. Oftentimes, these are changes that I find would be problematic to implement and downright unfair to the members already using the benefits of that specific function; especially when it has been around for months. Witnessing a player think solely of their own benefit rather than the benefits members are gaining from these systems set in place really bothers me. I understand desiring to assist, but when somebody is attempting to control every decision or change the different functions of the site, that is when it should stop. Staff know what they are doing from which direction they desire to take the site to which type of community they are planning to hopefully house.

Oh, I've got a good one:
How about the number of people who come on to my sites, ask me if the admin account is "multiple people" because of the they/them pronouns, then get snooty when I tell them I'm one person.
Or how about the number of people who come into the cbox, make a point of telling me they won't be joining because we're "a bunch of SJWs" and that our fake genders are "ruining the site" and then leave.
Or how about the people who try to make characters who are bigoted as all get out to hide their OOC/real life opinions, which are just as bad.
I've run plenty of sites in the last four years, and this happens multiple times on every site I run. And that's not including the people who join, act nice, then start constantly misgendering myself and my other non-binary staffers, or pick fights over gender and sexuality when they see, in the first rule, that I only run inclusive, open-minded sites.
"It's just my opinion!" you don't get to spew opinions that are genuinely hateful. Go away.

...Who does that? I don't even understand that mentality. Fortunately, I've never faced that issue (I don't disclose any gender/pronouns on my profiles so maybe that's why) but I can't even... imagine. Are you sure you don't know these people and they're just bullies/trolls from your past? Either way, it's probably time to block - and maybe check if they're using proxies.
Another pet-peeve of mine is when potential members or current members voice their "dislike" on the public chat, either calling people mean or hurtful or whatever and trying to start a problem when the rules state if you have an issue, go to a staff member privately because the chat is not a place for drama. If you have an issue with a staff member, go to the other staff member. Personally, when I have an issue with all of the staff members or the head admin, I leave the site... If it's bad chemistry, it's bad chemistry. orz

Oh I have. I've blocked, I've tracked, I've made sure it's not the same people. If it was, I'd care a whole lot less. Trolls are easy compared to this.
Some people just love to be close-minded assholes. And personally, I disclose pronouns because my pronouns are important to me and my identity and I don't want them erased. A lot of the time it's just people from other sites who are just grumpy because the admin isn't someone they can "relate" to, as if my being non-binary has anything to do with my personality beyond "hey, it's they/them, not anything else, stop that."

I have a big whole list of pet peeves that I have gathered across the years of being an admin, and they have made me into the salty admin I am today. I don't have nearly the patience as I used to, and I certainly do not walk on eggshells with my community. It took me a long time to finally wake up and realize that I don't have to cater to my members.
Anyways.
My largest pet peeve that takes the #1 spot is those members that will publicly and/or privately tell you they don't like recent updates or changes. Giving heavy criticism ( and most of the time be very rood about it ), and give NO, ZERO, NADA suggestions.
These types of members don't take into regards why staff makes systems the way they are, and certainly don't think, "maybe its this way because of THIS," etc. They have a tendency to be selfish, and just down right come up with the line, "I don't like it because I can't do THIS with my character," or something similar. They also have zero appreciation for any work or time that staff spends on the site. Being an admin/staff member is a thankless job, we all are aware of this. But these members really make it worse for us.
I don't mind criticism, --but you better bring a dish to the cookout in return. Otherwise your opinions, and you, can bugger off.

I now make it so claims are required for acceptance. They need to post a link to their claims post as well as their app and it works. If they filled out their claims wrong, I tell them "please fix it" and pend their app until it's fixed. Maybe try it out? Edit: That sounds kind of silly to me, ani, and they should be ashamed of themselves. :/ Good luck. I hope things get better for you!

When someone asks a series of questions that aren't even about unfilled lore holes but basically boil down to "hey, can you make my character for me?"
I really don't know how to respond to this idea fishing other than "be creative and make what you want" and I'd probably sound like a smartass. :weary:

Selfish members, a little intense perhaps and hopefully rare but the type that join, take over and act as if its their site. Or members that can't leave quietly, okay sad you want to leave but why do you have to try and trash the site around down my feet when you do. Just the centre of attention types I guess I'm trying to say!!!!
and the dramatic drama queens. They make everything an effort, like pulling teeth really. Small bickering about pointless subjects but just doing it for the sake of causing a scene.
