It’s the first campfire of the summer. A large crowd threatens to swallow any sight of the flame, and following the quest Hathorne and Rosenbach left for, most of the camp remain in gossip. The routine is standard by now, all according to some bygone plan.

Omnipresence really doesn't fucking do much in the long run, huh.

did the mid-season/mini campaign finale for my witcher game a few seconds ago and i'm crying at how absolutely TYPECAST i am.

my mage character, who's been cursed since childhood and has her entire motivation geared towards lifting her curse after more than a century of existence, has just learned about making deals with the closest the world has to a god / a devil. and it's pretty much confirmed that one of the contacts / allies / friends she's made in her long life is the aforementioned god / devil. everyone else in the party has their main arcs centered around revolution or self-discovery.

even when i'm not controlling the plot i'm just typecast huh.

[...] that no individual plot is the sole thing someone can have or write. people can want to focus on other things, and you're allowed to do it too. it's not the end of the world if something loses steam when the engine's still running.
