For the longest time recently, there was this old memory, a rp forum that I look back on and assume I must've had horrible activity on. I'm 100% convinced in both memory and self awareness that I probably like, made an app, probably posted once or twice at best, promised some threads and plots, then failed to make replies and left everyone hanging. Yanno, like how awful I am now. :'D

Then one day I actually decided to pull up the old site link and sift through it curiously, and my mind was blown. 6+ years ago me heckin... managed to keep up a whole THREAD going, large word counts and decent character interactions too. I couldn't believe it, I couldn't believe I did that, was capable of writing like that. U: Like, what the heck, me? How did you do that???? How??????

I thought my peak roleplay activity levels died midway through the very Warrior cat rps I got into rp with, but then apparently not quite. Strange how these things work. XD

I play this game! ^u^/ I picked it up at the beginning of November or something and haven't stopped playing daily since tbh. It's really cute, and I love the gameplay, music, and graphics. <3 And dragon shapeshifting is like 200% my ultimate fantasy.

My favorite character is Eleonora for very biased reasons as she shares a VA with Arturia Pendragon from Fate/stay night and other Fate/ franchises. XD I promoted her to 5-star too. <3 She's a good bunny saberface.

Normally outside of roleplay, (as long as I'm not being sick for a whole two months again. TuT) I'm doing a whole hekkin' lotta art. I take commissions and freelance, drawing both humans/fanart/ocs and animal characters, am an active furry con-goer and presence within the Dutch Angel Dragon community, like to cosplay at anime conventions, and participate very actively in a few ARPGs (Art Role-Playing Games, like DnD but on DeviantArt and roleplayed out with original drawn art of original characters and designs) while co-adminning one of them myself. I'm gradually working towards starting my own ARPG around an original closed species. I tried really hard to bring back and practice the CSS knowledge I have to make journal skins on DeviantArt for various ARPG purposes. :3c

Otherwise I'm just a depressed online college-enrolled shut-in who never goes outside. (I live out in the middle of nowhere so there's nothing to see anyway. :'D)

For the origins of the 'Priestess' part of my username, see Leap's post on page 2. XD
It really did just stick, having started from Yu-Gi-Oh! Millenium World roleplay that spread to a casual ooc friend-roleplay...sorta thing. But I also relate a lot to the title because I super love the context, both the eastern context of being a shrine maiden who works at, yanno, the shrine, (or in anime, exorcises some demons too!!), as well as the western context of being the female equivalent of a priest (I'm a devout believer o>).

The 'Shizuka' part has been a name I've liked to call myself for a long time. Before I was Shizuka, my username used to be "Evarin Skulblaka" which were the words "Star Dragon" in the Ancient Language within the Inheritance Cycle book series. |D *has always been a giant dragon fangirl* When I was first getting into manga and getting intrigued by the Japanese written language, I begun collecting the Vampire Knight manga series bc it's so dang pretty and the style was #goals. In the back of the story was always mini character biographies with little descriptions of their names and how/why they're written in kanji, and I noticed how the character Shizuka Hio's name used a single, unique kanji instead of the usual kanji for the word shizuka as an adjective (meaning 'quiet'). But it still carried the meaning and context of peaceful, serene, quiet, etc. And the number one thing people always describe me as (sometimes against my hopes) is quiet. So it suited me. ;D Plus it's a normal name in Japan so I could, and did, take it with me to Japan and went by that name while I was there for a while.

And I've been "Priestess Shizuka"/PriestessShizuka/priestess_shizuka ever since.
Sometimes it's too long and doesn't fit, so I use the full Japanese equivalent of the name, Shizukamiko (miko means shrine maiden).

Randomest of random thoughts at the most random time for no reason at all:

I love Christmas music, but certain music levels of cheer feel only appropriate for certain levels of Christmas atmosphere. Like, there should be no fast-paced sleigh bell songs until there's either snow, or Christmas lights/decorations out, at minimum.

Until then, let me and my angsty angry rock and metal music be free. ;u
