wow thank you guys! I've learned alot more from these than my entire years of experimenting!! I really am going blind because I didn't know these things before y'all said it! I never considered proportions & white spaces at all :0 (also anyone can become code-fluent pls h ave hoPE)

I, and perhaps many others, would love more informations about these though, and i know i named it as icon, it's pretty much encompassing to any graphics (ads, banners, signatures). I open my Photoshop thinking to myself that i will make a fine-ass icon/hove today and then ending up botching the image. This is me for the last three-ish years in my rp. While, yes, I do have some (and minimal) improvements, the fact that I literally know nothing whenever I color-grade my images just bothered me a lot- no theories to guide at all, purely instinctual.

And I don't trust my instincts at ALL AND I ABSOLUTELY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT MAKES AN ICON GREAT- bc I am color-blind and my instincts are off. And I just look at the icons and think that it's "SO DAMN GREAT" without actually knowing why it's great color-wise because i cant name/distinguish the relationships of the color in an image at all. (this is me whenever i look at , , , , and 's icons & hovers here + so so so many more ppl). Honestly, there's so many ppl here who have gr8 icons !!!

It's not a hinder in making codes because there's a lot less factors, but with images, you need to factor out skin, line arts, and all that jazz. I just dont have any idea on how to go on with all those factors. I also think that my RL icons are better than my animanga ones, but like they're still not quite there???

Do you guys have any tips in making icons? Is the secret in a color palette LMAO? Like what do you think makes an icon & hover great? Do you guys have like a process whenever you edit image? Or you see an art and you go like "this kind of aesthetics would look great in this & that" and emulate that in Photoshop?

incorporating musical artist (and applicable to all artist) doesnt necessarily mean that their powers should be music-based. It just means that you can use the work that you've chosen to build your power upon on- and it should be heavily based on the aesthetics of the work: either you base on its lyrics, their title (if it suffices), or use inspirations from the music videos.

Im gonna use The Weeknd (well, Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, because we don't allow alias that are too far from a real name but we do allow alias like Nicki Minaj) here as an example.

You can use his song Starboy as his ability wherein he could generate a cross-shaped laser to use as a sword. Now my main inspiration for this was a part in the music video wherein he was holding a cross-shaped neon light. Or you can use his "I feel it coming" and describe the ability as 6th sense, or clairvoyance.

However the character itself is not related/based to your artist claim's personality at all.

(e.g. Lewis Caroll with ability of Alice in Wonderland) We currently have five active membergroups that will shape the world of lost strays: triads, camorra, police department, zhentan agency and citizens

(thank u i blush JkjKJK). i've actually seen ur skins on rl site and they're :thumbsup: im also excited af on ur signature bc 1) the graphics is lit as hell 2) it's scifi omg pls give me all the neon lights and tech noir aesthetics. also i dig Yokai so muuuch? Im sad we're not getting that genre at all because most of them are done really well. I love love love Yokai in Modern Japan setting and is why im in love with Bakemonogatari.

ive also seen natsume yuujinchou and i was actually at the second half of first season til i dropped it. U know why? bc the first arc made me cry so much and if it's just a first arc, then god knows how much i will cry later and i forbid any anime to make me cry. BUT LIKE it's still on my watchlist LMAO, im just.... not... reaady...

you're also the first person here in PP who've dabbled in both RL & Animanga & we are very rare. We should talk some more !!!


(also im just gonna drop it since most of the time the people who are tolerant in both fc choices are like these but: do you also watch/listen to asian literatures like kpop/jpop/kdrama etc?)

i dont want to forget so im gonna just post it here:

heroic/villain literary & historic personification in a team battle royale. (what i mean by literary is like: Beowulf OR historic like: Vlad the Impaler) Each team is divided into classes according to fate/ (saber, lancer, archer, etc.). Also they have a one-word name to hide their identity. Basically these heroes were reincarated into a barren earth almost as if the end of the world just happened. The battle is overseen by a god that creates spontaneous events and challenges. inspired by fate + various post-apoc shows

supernatural site with witches, supernatural creatures, angels & demons. perhaps focusing on political powerplay on various creature' factions. it could be set in a school and that revolts happened when a witchcraft school suddenly wanted to open on non-witches creatures. And the fact that there is also a faction that is trying to summon the satan (altho i really want this to be an RL rp gjffh but animanga is okay-ish as well).

open mythology demigod site set in a tropical islands in Philippines with white sand beaches plus island hoppings LMAOOOO. Kidding aside, it's a great place to have a sort of a gathering for demigods of different myth parents doing quest and sailing worldwide to build their heroic reputation in the mythic world.
