I'm such a socially anxious chicken-shit now that discord chatting scares me.

I'm trying to push myself to re-find my info and log into it after only using it for like a week years ago, but I've put it off so long I can't even remember the names of the people I've told I'd give them my info when I get back. @

But I know it's becoming the default instead of cboxes, so I need to take a chill pill and realize it's not a big deal.

But logical brain knows one thing, and the anxiety disorder knows another.

Edit: Everyone is always super nice to me too! I don't have any negative experiences to blame.

But I overthink things. Like right now since I'm finding myself back here trying to over-explain more. I'm going to just force myself to stop typing and not come back to edit this again.

Awww, I feel you on this one. I've recently liked some site concepts enough to try and check out their discord, but I still freeze up and get super anxious over the whole thing. People/Admins are really nice but I guess discord's whole announcement thing (HEY EVERYONE AND THEIR MOTHERS. NAME#### HAS JOINED) + member list causes my anxiety to hit the roof.

One thing that helps me check out the community is hopping in as a guest via discord browser first and then seeing if I really wanna be here. I've also found it easier to join and be less awks when I do so with a friend tho? Maybe that may help you out. Good luck either way tho <3

UPDATE! So unfortunately, recovery isn't going as we initially hoped with my friend's memory post surgery being quite murky about quite a few things including Runelands/Rune Factory. Since I can't really work on Runelands on my own right now (seeing how there was so much we planned together), I am so sorry to say that its creation has been halted for now and I will focus on other projects. I may pick up on it later, but again, I seriously apologize for all the hype and no delivery. We were so close too orz.

Heya! So uhhh, if I have to compare, I could do so with the dental school I used to go to in Oman (I finished a year there before some weird ass expatriate rules had me leave). Dental school was hardwork, but here it's just tedious? Like not as much as hardwork as it eating up a lot of free time which I could be using productively.

To elaborate, we have 9-4 continuous classes everyday (with a 1 hour break which is sometimes taken by lecturers as well) with the exception of Saturday (which runs from 9-1). Oh, and you're not allowed to leave the campus until 1pm even if the lecturers cancel classes at the last minute. You just sit there idly because of this weird rule against phones and laptops. So uuuh, it has more of a proper 'Back to highschool' feel than an actual factual college. Most colleges in this state are like so unfortunately.

Hi! I suppose it's high-time for an introduction especially since I've been thinking I should extend out more and make more friends. So hnnng, here's my shot at it. Hi, I'm Kay -- I've also gone by Kai, Zomb, Zombae, Kai'k and even Hail at one point (Yes, I am not original with names). I'm going to be 22 by the start of November and moved to India about a year ago from Oman (where I've lived almost all my life at, altho I'm not Omani).

I am kinda socially awkward and have the attention span of a goldfish, which is probably why MMOs can't keep my interest for long and how I keep missing direct messages to my Discord (soz orz). I'm a freelance designer doing branding/logos and all that jazz while juggling school that runs for 6 days a week (this is something I still haven't gotten used to. I miss muh 2-day weekends ;; ). There's also a LOT of cultural differences I still have to get used to...w-which I will...someday (tm).

Things I love doing are writing, gaming, being dork with my cats or just wasting away my life on youtube. I've been role-playing for a long time now and absolutely love some good angst or romance going and can keep at it for moooonths (I'm always game for more, too). I'm pretty flexible with what kind of genres or hosts I'm into, so you've probably seen me lurking at one point or another.

Ehhh, that's about it I think. So! Lets be frans?

Here's my cat tax:

Heeeeyyyy I am very much still interested in this. I love quests And IC currency is fair for this setting; I'd argue otherwise if it was smth like an mmo.

Also, will soloing be an option or are quests and jobs strictly group affairs?

Ey, I'm glad. So Jobs/quests can be solo'd yes. There's no restrictions on that.

Just saw this and I love Rune Factory! I'm curious how you are going to implement the talent system. Will it have levels or no levels? If so would it be bought in the store or would there be a different way to level it up?

So there isn't any levels for your character but more so stages for your talents ranging from Beginner - Novice and such, all the way to master. You earn proficiency points by doing requests/quests and getting better at it -- but can and will still be considered proficient in the trade just because your character has taken up said skill.

Hello! I'm back with some updates! (Thank you for that bump, iota). The skin's been progressing smoothly and so have the systems. Here are a few images if you'd like to know what's up -

So a few titbits from the images:

We've implemented a monetary system called "Shallis" or Shells for short. They won't be handed out per-post but more so IC currency characters earn from their jobs/tasks/quests or selling items/running a business. We've also placed a market where you can purchase items from the site shop or go questing for them in dungeons. These again are items which have some extra/nifty functions but aren't required if you wanna just RP the neat village life. Because Talents are a thing, we've also devised a system where members can open their own shops or create said items on their own if their talents aid them in creating said items (i.e spellcasting/potion-making/carpentry/cooking etc).

The next thing is that we've implemented that date system which gives you a flow of time and helps us keep track of birthdays. There's also the weather added so that typhoons, hail or snow can played out as well. We're also planning on having characters "unlock" different boards/expand the village by doing IC threads/tasks together such as a small school or university or things of that sort.

Do tell us know whatcha think of all this o7

When these new skin mockups I've made look neat, sleek and cutesy but they also have this hella girly vibe and look more like they'll suit a magical girl site so I can't use them ;-; But hnng, still proud of it. Back to the drawing boards while I still have the creativity flowing!

Sorry to pester you, , but is this project still happening? :3

Hi, hi. Yes, it is. We just had to open Renascence and get that settled down before working further on Runelands. What I can say is that we've begun creating the boards and added a few more touches (like trying to implement a time script that goes "Spring 1, Spring 5) and lets us celebrate character birthdays. It'll probably a month more before I can finish a skin for it.

A little late but we seriously appreciate the interest you've all shown. We've gone ahead and finished all the necessary information for the site (rules, housing, dungeons, deities and all that jazz). All that's left is a skin, templates and some bits of fluff to the setting. We'll try to keep you updating as we progress further o7

and I guess too, we've got half-monsters listed under the races, which will for the most part is where you two may want to be. Races ideally will be cosmetic with a few nuances here and there, but to cut to the chase - We're working on a way for transformations for that race, which will probably scratch the guardian itch as well as letting people be cute little monster critters.

Does that sound cool? If not, let us know somehow. We're really pumped to get this thing going.
