an animanga panfandom roleplay site with really good loose dnd elements. i know it'll take a lot of work to actually build it but i'd love to come up with the contents (not the coding) of a shipper template that has people sort out their characters in terms of power and abilities given a set beginning number of 'skill points' that they could get more of as they become more active / post more / plot more / contribute more.

i don't see enough sites that encourage people to build up their characters in terms of actual rpg statistic elements (i.e: levels, exp, etc) in an active manner. it would be fun to come up with a spreadsheet of collectibles (that can be seen as pixel art (i.e: stardew valley pixel art icons, etc)) that they could keep in a diary and actively sell / trade to make certain potions, armor, weapons, etc. it'd take a lot of spreadsheets and upkeep by staff but i think it'd be really fun since people would have to go out and post in random places and ask for staff to spawn them wild encounters / foraging opportunities and control the system of crafting and building in a sandbox world. people could even build their own homes and build colonies that could be added as new areas in the forum that people could visit and thread in (i.e: shops, actual residences/neighborhoods, etc).

there's just not enough animanga panfandom roleplays that are really active right now so i throw this idea out there because i think it's quite unique from what i've been seeing. people tend to look away from free format apps these days so the shipper/rpg stats sheet template would bring a new twist to it + the fact that people could actually actively contribute to the world and how it's shaped so it brings forth a better sense of being part of the community.

i'd make this myself but i 1: am fairly fresh in the forum community so don't have any people to really help, and 2: suck at coding so ripperino.

bonus: i already have some ideas for the different 'sectors' of the forum (i.e: pre-made areas built around heavy fantasy elements with their unique quirks and ordeals). i also play a shitton of mmorpgs so i could totally help with a class system and etc. + i play and dm a lot of dnd so i'd be able to really incorporate those 'dnd elements' i loosely hinted at. a-also ... i can do photoshop so if that's any help ... lmao ...

anything with an active crafting / dungeon crawling / upgrading system for characters that doesn't revolve around 'lmao whatever u can imagine is fine xD just make it make sense!'. i like a defined system of progression. panfandom animanga would be a huge boost because i see a lot of oc-based rps and not many animanga panfandom that are ... as active as i'd like.

more krp sites! (using korean idol/model faces) ones that stray from the typical slice-of-life / high school / college / uni / gang plots.
im really late to this, but i really, r e a l l y love that first idea you suggested! also, plz, krp is very good, we need more of those.

When do you guys expect to release this?
hi! ! currently, we plan to open with in the coming january month. there was a minor setback with scheduling which put us a week behind, but i would estimate at our current rate, it would be within the next two weeks if all goes as planned and there are no bugs in the system. c:

honestly, von, i think the icons and gfx you make are absolutely stunning, especially since they feature extremely vibrant color schemes - which i always have a soft spot for. however, icon techniques vary person to person depending on their own personal style. i can't speak for everyone, but i can definitely show you how i usually go about creating colors for my icons! and heck, if you want me to send you some psds and actions i have made, let me know! it's a good way of looking at the different layers and dissecting what's actually being done.

also!! a really big tip here, but don't be afraid to be bold with experimenting. tbh, photoshop has a lot of features, some which can be a little intimidating upon first glance. the best advice i can give is to just try things. play around with the curves, a lot. curves, actually, are my favorite thing with gfx!! that being said, here's a list of tools i usually use when creating icons: levels, curves, brightness/contrast, vibrancy, exposure, color balance, gradient, and selective color. you don't have to use all of them for every psd you make, but these are usually the ones that i love experimenting with the most. here's an example of how my layers usually look!

i also like to keep in mind the skin of the site i'll be using these icons on. granted, not all the icons i make are going to be some I use. at that point, i usually will look at the character's aura and try to go with colors and themes that are present. for example, i tried to make shuichi's icons play with purple and blues (since, usually those are mystic and fantasy colors). but he's also not a bad guy, so adding in those vibrancy and exposures help keep things from getting dark. on contrast, akutagawa's icons (the new ones) are more faded leaving more room for a dark interpretation. levels play a key feature in aku's batch as they aid me in allowing it to appear shaded and dim. and then usagi was created to be vibrant and fun! i just feel thats what her character lowkey demonstrates!

in turn, i think it all depends on the emotions and balance you personally want to create. do not create icons with the intent for others, create them as if they were for yourself. use what you like to influence your themes and balance. if you look at what's trendy or just what other people like, you might feel more detached from your creation. just be yourself!! c:

also,, side note!! i am also completely okay, if there's a few people interested, to boot up photoshop one day and screenshare w/ you guys. i've successfully taught spica how to make hella cool gifs from it, so i could demonstrate my patterns with icons and gfxs as well!

strays will definitely lean more towards an action/adventure site. it is a crime rp, so we heavily encourage users to participate in grittier actions rather than your basic slice of life stuff. however, there is nothing restricting our users claiming they can't purely do slice of life. the opening will likely be more soft, but our events will likely cater to more action-based plots. there is no stat system in place, so battles will be completely chill if users decide to fight.

basically, if you chose someone from a group, you would be picking it as a member. it would be completely your decision on whether you choose a solo work or a group song. you would have full control on deciding if you choose to simply do a power based off a single by that group, or lingered towards your member's solo work instead. however, users are only allowed a single power. you would not be allowed to choose both a group contribution and a solo contribution, it would be one or the other. if a member of a group (or any artist) has participated in writing and producing work outside of their own group, you are allowed pick that instead if you desire!  c: u can totally @ me with more questions tho, especially if i made it way more confusing xrdcfgvbhj

I already have Jalter reserved, but if you could reserve, uuuuuuuuuh, Vanitas from the Case Study of Vanitas for a face claim, that'd be awesome. :eyes emoji: I'd ask about reserving the artists in question, but hahahaaaaaaaaaaa, literally no one is going to take them. No one.

I'M SO PUMPED, THOUGH, AAAAAAAAAAH.
oh my god vanitas is such a good fc choiceee, i will def reserve that for you!! and yes! jalter is already down in ur name! <3
