PEOPLE OF ERINN
HUMAN. The traditional, round-eared stock of Uladh. Their rich history is packed with fantastical tales of strange creatures, brave knights, and powerful wizards that have shaped the lands as its people know it today. Hard-working folk scattered through the hills, plain, and wood of the continent's temperate climate, they built their homes from stone, plaster, and timber in comfortable cottages, log cabins, and lavish manors and castles throughout the countryside.
By far the most populous of the Erinn people, their reach extends across the full continent in a number of towns, villages, and cities - each with its own unique story and traditions. What often unites the people is their faith. The tale of Morrighan's sacrifice and Lymilark's love are prominent features in their religion, the Church of Lymilark.

GIANT. A people whose size well does justice to their namesake, Giants have been a rare sight in Uladh until recent history. Hailing from the frigid wood of the distant continent Iria, they are tall, sturdy people that first made their homes in the redwood forests of Physis. When their past war with the Elves earned the scorn of their goddess Irinid, the land was cursed, struck with an eternal winter that persists in their forests to this day. Sled dogs are often used to help traverse the deep snows of their homeland, with snowfall being a near daily occurrence.
Their lone capital city Vales is known for its metalwork, decorative stone carving, and fine alcohol, while the people themselves are known for their strength and valor. Due to an ancient curse that has faded in recent years, it is said that "A Giant never forgets."

ELVES. Known for their grace and dexterity, the Elves are a slender, delicate-featured people with pointed ears, now a more common sight in the lands of Uladh. Originating from far across the waves, their capital city of Filia is built around a glistening oasis in the lands of Connous, the easternmost piece of the continent Iria. Once green prairies filled with life, Connous’ grasses gave way to barren sand when their patron goddess Irinid punished them for their war against the Giants. Today the land is known for being a harsh environment, scorched by the sun and bereft of rain.
The terracotta buildings of their home city are decorated with colorful banners and cheerful paints, parapets built about their roofs. Rather than use libraries, they share their knowledge through a massive crystal ball in the center of their capital - a reminder of the curse that once caused them to lose their memories. Though their ancient memory tower has since been dismantled, the associated saying persists. "An Elf never lies."

FOMORS. A fairly recent addition to the races of Erinn, Fomors were once seen as an unholy, wretched union of man and beast for their twisted birth at the hands of the dark god Cichol. The violent, driving force behind Uladh's long passed Fomorian War, they were rescued in the same fashion as their human neighbors when the goddess Morrighan was sent on their behalf. The goddess used the full force of her might to break the fetters pressed upon their psyches, relieving them of Cichol's enslavement and allowing for them to live in peace.
These days, Fomors are treated as equals amongst all the races. Though predominantly human in appearance, their greatly varying traits grant its individuals a truly unique presence. Their added features range from animal ears, to tails, to scales and horns - though none with wings have been born as of yet. Settling alongside their human cousins, they adopted their culture for their own, making their homes in the various towns and villages throughout Uladh.
