I feel the same way about talent requirements for original art. It just seems really arbitrary and mean-spirited.

So will this be using the setting only or will this have D&D mechanics? My preference leans heavily towards the former.

Basically, my idea is this: combining my panfandom-for-OCs idea with my dragon rider academy idea. OCs from your own original universes (or from current/former sites) get isekai’d into a kingdom policed largely by dragon riders. You can also play as natives of the kingdom, but they’ll be less flexible than isekai’d OCs – I’ll have to find some way to balance around that.

The idea came to me after I realized that the whole dragon rider RP schtick was a bit overplayed at this point, and I had my panfandom-for-OCs idea sitting in the back burner. So to distinguish my site from the rest, I decided to combine both ideas into one site. I don’t want canon characters (as in preexisting characters like Dante from DMC) for two reasons: because in my experience those tend to get unfairly prioritized over OCs and because I don’t want any face claim overlap.

My concern is that the concept might be too complicated and ultimately too beginner-unfriendly: I want the site experience to be easy for everyone involved. But ultimately, I’m just one person, and keeping this opinion to myself wouldn’t do much good. So what do you think?

Since I’ve seen a few feelers around for dragon-related stuff again, would anyone be interested in a dragon riding RP set in a military academy like in Fourth Wing and Pern? Both dragon riders and regular humans would be playable, and we could even add other humanoid species as playable. Each character can have magical powers in addition to their connection to dragons, although let’s limit it to one power per player for simplicity’s sake. No canons, either; everyone ranks as a student. R18 rating possible, but not necessary; I'm not sure what shenanigans would entail such a rating.

I’ll try to get a working prototype up if this gets enough traction, just need help with the skin stuff. Shoot me a PM on this site if you’re interested in helping!

This does sound neat. My only caveat is that it has to be optimistic and not a deep edgy deconstruction or whatever, because that's overplayed for both magical girls and Pokemon.

Also - and I mean this with no malice intended - your concept sounds like ReBURST.

I have a question regarding the plot! Will this be able to support slice-of-life threads or is this going to be more serious in tone?

DYNACHARGE is a 2/1/2 (R13 or T) cyberpunk fantasy site set in a fantastic secondary world where cyborgs and mythical creatures intermingle. The setting is currently fractured into two factions; the government task force Division Seven and the rebelious San Agaran Liberation Front. DYNACHARGE has a wide range of character options for both species and powers, with only a handful of caveats.
