I've been wanting something like this for a while and had even started designing a setting similar to this, but it kind of turned into a magical fairytale-esque deal with a bigger plot than I had intended, and I lost inspiration for making it into a rp...

long story shortthis idea you have for medieval fantasy that is somewhat in the making here sounds right up my alley ♡ ! perfect mixture of court intrigue, a little bit of magic, and character-drivenness! where do i sign up??

new site event! black plague just dropped

This gave me an idea for a plague doctor OC and i'm not even ashamed

A little idea that has been brewing at the back of my mind for a while now. Not sure whether I'll go through with it, but we'll see what happens.

‣ A medieval fantasy site with a stronger emphasis on slice-of-life and member-made plots
‣ The setting would be reminiscent of 13th to 15th century Europe
‣ Somewhat sandbox-y
‣ Primarily low fantasy — magic would be regarded as a mysterious, fickle force that is — albeit present in the world — not well-understood and generally considered to be dangerous. Characters with light magical abilities would be allowed.
‣ Set in a fairly isolated setting to encourage character interaction. The RP would take place in a single kingdom, more or less isolated from the rest of the world with either stone battlements or deep forests. Venturing beyond the kingdom's borders would be unadvisable and deemed highly dangerous, due to the plethora of malevolent creatures that roam all around (custom bestiary included in the guidebook!)
Short and digestible required reading. Although the site would feature some extra lore tidbits, they would be regarded merely as supplementary materials.
‣ Optional overarching plot (with a handful of canon characters), participation would not be required
‣ Statless, freeform combat
‣ The possibility of small member-made factions: guilds and noble houses. Permits to create these would be purchasable in the site store.
‣ Knights, scholars, royals, adventurers, innkeepers, but also just a bunch of peasants just trying to make it through the winter. Just have fun!
‣ Somewhat inspired by GoT, The Witcher and Sun Haven

Fallen Leaves

❀ about

[break]Fallen Leaves (working title) is an upcoming high fantasy animanga site set in a fictional rendition of Feudal Japan. In a world where humans and spirits coexist, fear and mistrust divides the once peaceful country. Local clans and noble families are locked in an endless strife for power and control. With the Imperial Court powerless, where will you stand? And whom will you trust?[break][break]

‣ Jcink-hosted[break]
‣ Lots of playable species (humans, yokai, oni, half-spirits)[break]
‣ 3 starting factions[break]
‣ Member-driven plot[break]
‣ Political intrigue, magic, slice-of-life[break]
‣ Inspired by GoT, Onmyoji and Sekiro[break][break]

❀ looking for
[break]

At the moment, I'm looking for one person (or two) to help with basic site management (such as advertising, updating claims, basic staff assistance, etc.). As the site is currently in development, discussions, suggestions and feedback in regards to the site's lore, world-building and other aspects would be greatly appreciated, as this has been a private solo project up to this point.[break][break]

Prior staffing experience is not required, enthusiasm and willingness to help matter the most! Advanced knowledge of HTML/CSS is not necessary either, as long as you don't break the site's coding while attempting to update claims listings ^^"[break][break]

For staff teams to work together, getting on the same wavelength is important. Thus, you are more than free to reach out to me and ask questions without being committed to actually becoming a staff member of this site. I'll be more than happy to give more info ^^[break][break]

I plan on making the site fairly relaxed activity-wise, so there's no need to worry about that. However, communication is crucial and I'd prefer if you let me know about a prolonged inactivity if you know it's inevitable. Furthermore, I will not tolerate someone becoming a staff member and then outright ghosting the site a few days later. If you think you may get tired of the site after a week, please reconsider applying. As mentioned earlier though, communication is important.[break][break]

❀ reaching out
[break]

The easiest way to get in touch with me is via Discord (my handle is simply elaysa). PMs are a possible alternative, but I will most likely redirect you to Discord if the conversation gets lengthy. As of now, there is no site link to be shared, but I can send screenshots of the WIP skin upon request.[break][break]

Thank you so much for reading!

I've been fiddling with a possible premise for a fantasy site set in feudal Japan. I'm not really committed to the idea yet, but I thought I'd just throw it out there x3

Basic Cliffnotes:
‣ Set either in a fantasy world heavily inspired by feudal Japan or directly set in Japan (~15th-16th century)
‣ High fantasy with political intrigue and what have you
‣ Would include the option to focus solely on slice-of-life plots if you fancy
‣ A large variety of species to choose from, such as humans, yokai, oni/demons or halflings
3 starting clans/factions, more can be added as the plot progresses
Canon characters (primarily leaders of the aforementioned factions) – mostly only concepts, it would be up to the writer to flesh them out if they choose to take one
Statless combat, mostly freeform magic system (with some restriction to keep it from going wild, ofc)
‣ A possible inclusion of 'lower' spirits and demons that like to run around and attack civilians, to spice things up a little
Jcink-hosted

Basically GoT but with samurai, I guess...? EITHER WAY, I'm not 100% on this site idea as of now. Although I have some of the lore already figured out, I'm still very much in the brainstorming phase. If you are interested in a site of this nature and/or want to share a thought in regards to the lore and world-building, definitely shoot me a PM ^^

I lowkey had a site with a very similar promise years back. Do I have a lot of unresolved angst towards it? OF COURSE I DO

Part of me wants to see more slice-of-life sites... except not set in the modern world. A slice-of-life site set in a medieval village located in the middle of nowhere (could be located in the middle of some haunted woods, for some added suspense). Sweet and simple. Little to no politics, can have some light fantasy elements to sweeten it, no complicated lore, just a bunch of people trying to make it through the winter

Hello!! Due to some irl restraints, I've really been struggling with my writing muse, much to my own dismay. Therefore, I was thinking that finding a side site could help me focus on something else and, hopefully, lift my spirits.

I have a few preferred genres listed below, but the deal-breaker is definitely the community. I'm looking for a site with a small, accepting community. Nothing too big, and nothing that has been here since the beginning of times.

· · · · About me:
» Animanga site, not RL (or mixed FCs)
» I prefer Jcink, can adjust to ProBoards.
» Don't really have an OC in mind (I'll look at the suggestions and go on from there). I usually tend to play the jerk with a heart of gold archetype, but it depends!
» Don't have a preffered plot in mind. Nonetheless, I've really been craving a good slow-burn romance or some sort of hurt/comfort.
» I love to plot, but it oftentimes takes me a while to actually approach somebody about plotting.
» My activity can be patchy. I generally try to post once in two to three days (I can do multiple posts a day if everything's right). Nevertheless, I would prefer a site with lenient activity (nothing that would banish me into the archives after not posting for two weeks), nothing too strict.
» I'm honestly just looking for a site to relax on. Nothing too gritty and overwhelming. Something simple and relaxing c:

· · · · Looking for:
» As mentioned above, the deal-breaker is the community. I'm looking for a small (preferably new-ish), accepting community. A site with a billion users active is an automatic no-go for me, likely with no exceptions.
» Slice-of-life!
» Original sites
» Sites that are easy to get into
» Something light-hearted – Not looking for combat sites or anything.
» I can take a look at fantasy sites, as long as the lore isn't too overwhelming

· · · · Nah, no:
» Panfandoms
» RL or MFC
» Fandom-based – my knowledge of fandoms is limited to only a few franchises. Even if your site requires little to no knowledge of the source material, I still think I'm going to pass.
» Established sites with a large playerbase
» Lore-heavy
» Complicated systems

I think that's about it! Feel free to drop your suggestions to this thread, or shoot me a PM! Thanks!! ^^

something wicked.
Hi there!! After some thinking, I decided to host a quick staff search for an animanga urban fantasy RP I've been working on as of late! The site is WIP at the moment, but I can offer additional information and send screenshots upon request. The interest check can be found here!

Requirements
I'm looking for someone to assist me when it comes to general site management. That includes things such as advertising, updating claims, approving character applications, answering questions, etc. Advanced knowledge in HTML/CSS is not required, as long as you don't break the site templates while updating things. No prior experience is required, you can learn along the way. The most important thing is enthusiasm and willingness to help! c:

Activity
I plan on making the site fairly relaxed, so there's no need to worry about activity. However, communication is important and I'd prefer if you let me know about a prolonged inactivity if you know it's inevitable. Furthermore, I will not tolerate someone becoming a staff member and then outright ghosting the site a few days later. If you think you may get tired of the site after a week, please reconsider applying. As mentioned earlier though, communication is important.

Other
If you're interested (or you simply need more information), shoot me a PM and I'll redirect you to my Discord account. We can figure out the details over DMs and see how it goes ^^

Thank you!! <3
