i'm playing Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance right now and i'm really glad Ike is a canonical dumbass. i like when the stupidity is baked into the protagonist so i don't have to feel bad when i get Astrid killed for the 30th time (why does she have such low health??).

as a longtime Niners fan (😭) it first surprised me how suddenly it happened, but if you look at our whole season, the defense hasn't been performing anywhere near the level of money and talent we have invested there (particularly apparent in the playoffs - see GB game, where we looked like wet tissue paper against a newbie QB). it was also telling seeing Shanahan, who normally leaves the defense to its business, interfering and overruling Wilks on critical plays. the synergy was never quite there. i wonder if it was coming for a long while, we just didn't wanna disrupt anything mid-season.

that said, i hope we have someone in mind already... 

as a relative newcomer, sometimes choosing a face claim feels like such a burden, and i'm quite mixed on the subject. i'll be tempted to pick something from a trending show or game just because i think it'll draw more players to my character even if it doesn't really fit.

on the other hand, picking something that doesn't fit can help you develop the character further. the FC has a scar, so what's the backstory of the scar for your character? the FC looks rather demure but you didn't picture the character that way—perhaps they feign demureness because of some incident in the past? 

sometimes the randomness/unidealness can be inspiring. i wonder if there's ever been an RP forum where everyone gets random face claims and tries to adapt their character to it. i wonder what the RP would look like in that circumstance? 🧐

i had no idea how a Spotify Blend works... me and a new friend were swapping r&b songs so we decided to add each other on Spotify and do a Blend. first day it was mostly showing songs we both like, r&b and hip-hop. today i realized the Blend changes every day and doesn't just show songs you share... she's gonna be getting a random sad anime interlude in the middle of Wu-Tang 🙉

wow what an interesting combination of genres! i really like the idea of a murder mystery too, i've always wanted to play something like that out. 

watching Ocean Waves by Studio Ghibli because French Netflix apparently has access to tons of Ghibli stuff?? was this on the U.S version too and i never noticed?

debating picking up Turn A Gundam because the OST by Yoko Kanno (which Youtube recommended to me at random) is so good it makes my heart hurt.

this is exactly my problem. actually, for me it's sharing any of my writing period. it's weird because it wasn't so bad for me when i was younger. now i get so tired from the anxiety pre-posting that i just avoid doing any of it because i don't want to trouble other people with my behavior. really, the most frustrating thing about anxiety is how it makes you zoom into the minutiae of life and all the tiny things become so exhausting.

i like citrinitas 's suggestion because that's worked for my anxiety in other areas of life. but it's a slow process and sometimes i backslide into losing my courage again :')

the character designs for final fantasy tactics are SOOOO cute which is the main reason i picked it up. but it's interesting how the atmosphere of the game is such a stark departure from that. the cut scenes are really moody, with lots of silence and sweeping views, while the characters say harsh things like YOU'RE A WHORESON WHO SHOULD'VE DIED IN A DITCH with like the cutest fkn face ever. wow. and occasionally a pig waltzes in and out of battles with no explanation whatsoever. amazing. 10/10
