by the time i was old enough to hit the 18+ requirements on rp sites they started raising it to 21+ and 25+ . what are they going to raise it to when im 25. 30??

I love going around seeing what all the site admins are doing to play april fools pranks on their members. its glorious for the ones that do it lol

Gosh, gotta love when you misunderstand a code for 1-2 hours because you thought it did the opposite of what it intended. It is working now, but after spending so long "fixing" a problem that's answer was looking me in the face, shaking me and probably at some point full-blown slapping me... I feel particularly dumb.

Low key wonder sometimes if I'm drawn to roleplay and other methods of self-expression due to bottling all my feelings IRL. There's a freeing aspect to playing someone else sometimes. It's like permission to be messy and unlikeable, to leave things unresolved, and to break all the way down without expecting to rebuild from the ashes.

I love banter between characters and those IC moments where one notices something about the other character (little actions, etc.). Sometimes I'm torn between wanting speed and plots taking their time. Either way, I enjoy it all at the end of the day.

I mean, it's one thing to age-gate one's site to 18+, and maybe raise the bar a little higher for personal comfort reasons, but I swear that sometimes, the hobby of forum RPing seems to have become like that Twitter meme about how "I think kids should be banned from the Internet altogether, because the fact that I'm at risk from hearing a 14-year old's opinion on something is a violation of my human rights."

love writing characters who are genuinely awkward and uncool... something very special about brainstorming just how cringe someone can get through actions and dialogue rather than the other way around

There's something very freeing about writing someone who is just so pathetic.
